My sig and only hold so many names.

If someone else wanted to do a WR or QB or TE....... *cough*...... I'd be all for it.

No.
RB15

I too am surprised at just how far the hype has gone on such a small sample size. I also don’t think Henderson will be a non factor.

lol this is like me saying what a stud he is and then offering he finishes top 20 in points per game. There are very few backs 51% to be end of year top 10 so I will agree and say no.

I'll go yes and RB10, but feel like he may wind up 11/12.

Yes, RB5. Not as a rusher, but he should be getting a ton of PPR points this year. I am sorry, but I think this is not going to end well.

I think the reason people are so high on the guy is a combination of talent and situation + reception potential. I don't think he is an elite rusher, but as a pass catching RB, he should be near the top imo.

Last chance to get in on this, if you are bold enough to do it.

I will finalize the bets with a summary post and then we play the waiting game.

No, but close, RB 14

I wish the over/under was a little lower. RB10-12 is still a nice success for a year two RB, would expect his value to creep up if anything. 13-18 likewise isn’t bad, particularly if it’s a result of missing 4 games or something. 19-24 would be a disappointment for sure, and obviously I’d he isn’t even an RB2 that’s bad.

All that said, I think most of the 2020 RB class is overrated around here. JT 2 overall? Swift and Akers around 7-8? I would trade JT for a 1.02 package any day. Leagues I have Swift I haven’t gotten one inquiry or offer, and don’t even get replies when I send stuff. Anyways.

Stafford is a nice plus imo. Underrated NFL QB in his prime, coming to an already solid team. I try not to overthink it here, QB upgrade=better O=better for RBs, if not all skill positions.
Changing to RB11, cuz I don’t see anyone else with it yet!

Can almost put money on a RB14 finish now.

NO - #23

dlf_mikeh - What is your take on Antonio Gibson? He looks worse than Akers to me and maybe worse than any RB I've seen (from a skill perspective - he's definitely a gifted athlete). I get that he is new to the position and didn't get much of a camp last year, but I feel the hype is out of control. Just curious what you see with him.

Yeah actually I agree with you. He's an athlete first and a RB second. I think he'd be a great complimentary back. I'm a little surprised that the WFT didn't draft another RB to share the load, but what the heck do I know about managing football teams. :D

I think he’s a top 5 dynasty RB, but I just don’t really like the terms of this bet. The injury x-factor clearly favors the non-believers’ side. An injury to Henderson would definitely increase his workload, but not nearly to the same degree that an injury to Akers himself would derail an otherwise productive season. Also, I just don’t think that him finishing as the RB11 is some sort of indication that he sucks or is overvalued.

I think more reasonable terms would be:
RB8 or better - Akers truthers win
RB9-RB16 finish - push
RB17 or worse - Non-believers win

Anyhow, I’ll say he finishes RB7 barring major injury, but I’ll pass on the bet.
Both are 12-team 1QB PPR dynasties

I agree. The bet should be top 10 ppg average with a minimum games played vs. total points. That totally favors the more durable backs.

If you win this bet and he's not top 10, but he still averaged 15 points per game in the games he played, you still lost as far as I am concerned.

I’m guessing one or both of the immediately previous posters are welcome to establish their own wager thread on Akers with conditions more suitable to them and allow others to place guesses of performance based on those standards for whatever the proposed outcomes would be. If it were that important to them, that is.
