CEH, currently ranked between RB14-18 in dynasty, finishes as a T8 RB in 2021.
Interested to hear more on the bolded IYDM elaborating. He was one of the QBs I was targeting to buy in my 1QB dynasty this offseason thinking he would actually improve a bit and finish around QB6 or so. What's turning ya off on him?
Not to answer for him, but I wouldn't be surprised with this. A lot of QBs who have a successful rookie year show a dip in their careers the 2nd year as defenses kind of figure them out.
No, you hit on one of the reasons for sure! It is a mix of that, getting Ekeler back healthy as well as key defensive players, and the move on from Anthony Lynn. Basically, I’m betting on the Chargers being better than they were last year and not needing as many shootouts to win games. That and there are a ton of quality QBs who could finish above him without him really having a bad season.

This is always a fun thread

QB - Carson Wentz will be a top 5 QB
RB - Mike Davis will be top 12 PPR
WR - Allen Robinson will be top 3 PPR
TE - Kyle Pitts will have the highest scoring rookie TE season of my lifetime (for the record, I am old)
I am just a guy sharing some thoughts

New system to learn as well. I'm personally not worried about defenses figuring him out as he had success in every way possible with a bottom 3 OL, and they bolstered it significantly.

-Gerrid Doaks will outscore Trey Sermon in 2021
-Larry Rountree will score more than 6 TDs and will force a 30% committee share for the Chargers

What if we change it to "Air Fryer"? We need to do our part to make it happen. Counter-argument: "Ground Fryer" (because vertically jumping does not seem to be his strong suit)

From your Toney prediction I'm assuming you're more of a tape guy than analytics but as someone who grabbed Rountree post rookie draft for the opportunity of taking the thumper role for the Chargers what do you like about him?

I'd vote "Air Freier" because they make delicious, crispy "French Freie's". And who doesn't love that?

You're right on about that that it isn't analytics and the thumper role for Rountree. I think there is opportunity in the backfield to do that as opposed to if he was say paired with Zeke. It's mainly all eye test for me so it's just planting my flag. Have had some success with late round guys like Rawls, Carson, Zac Stacey, CJ Anderson and being ahead of the curve (last two in redraft bc I wasn't playing dynasty yet). Misses too bc these are longshot picks. Just eye test for me watching them and their gameplay to NFL gameplay I got Rountree and Doaks as my late round picks of this class. Doaks more for opportunity and Rountree more for how hard he bangs and the wear that puts on a defense and how it can compliment Ekeler nicely.

The difference for me with those other guys you listed is that they were athletic enough to succeed in the nfl, even if not elite athletes. Rountree would have to be one of the rare outliers of all outliers to earn even that kind of 30% share. 6 tds i could see as a short yardage back. the 30% share of carries, that one is hard to see for me. (unless theres a legit reason his measurables were so poor from his pro day that i don't know about).

30% is kind of an arbitrary number but Gordon and Ekeler split 175/105 in 2018. He measured/tested just fine compared to Rawls. Guys like this can have a great first year. I'm not saying he keeps it up for years but he can probably return production this year and then make a good trade asset. The thing about slow guys like this is they aren't going to get faster or more agile than their rookie year so as their stock goes up with production it's time to move them. You have the outlier slow guys like CJ and Blount who went on to longer careers so that creates buyers for you

This is not any attempted to relocate the prolonged JAX RB discussion to another thread, so I will do nothing further in that regard rather than plant this flag:

Robinson will exceed Etienne this year both in rushes and yards rushing

Also, Antonio Gibson will be a top 5 FF RB

and Aaron Rodgers will play for GB this year (provided his OBGYN clears him).
