My list:

Lawrence - He’s in a good spot with enough talent around him (especially after adding Etienne who ought to be a great addition as a weapon in the passing game) and a team that is still going to throw a lot. I think he’s going to rack up more ground yardage and ground TDs than many are anticipating.

Fields - He’s still the 2nd best QB in this class and he’s in a good spot with a vet QB being able to mentor him, an offense that throws a lot, enough weapons including the addition of Damien Williams and an improving O line. Plus the pass Ds in the division aren’t exactly daunting. He ought to be able to improve significantly on CHI’s ypa last year and if Trubisky could go 6-3 as a starter with this team where does Fields take them? I like his passing/rushing opportunities a bunch and he ought to do well. He could easily be 1b in this class.

Lance - see post above

Wilson - He’s talented for sure but he could also be the QB most likely to get broken by his current team. He could easily rise to 2 on this list, with a puncher’s chance at 1 if things go just right. But there are just so many variables in NY that could go wrong for him and he plays in what is shaping up (shockingly) to be a tough division that the spectre of the massive unknowns drives his value down right now for me.

Jones - NE simply is not in a good spot right now. They have not had good drafts for a while and there is Cam sitting there with the unknown how he will react to having a first rounder sitting behind him waiting to take over. I just do not see the Belichek/Brady magic being recreated and I’m not convinced that Jones is anything other than average when he’s not surrounded by extraordinarily superior talent.

After last night I like Harris, Etienne, Chase, & Pitts in that order. If I was hanging around in the 5-8 range I would be looking to move down. I was hoping that Bateman would land somewhere that the consensus would view negatively. I will now be acquiring at a value.

Truth be told, I like them all for varying reasons. It seems like each QB landed in the perfect system outside of Fields who I really would have been salivating over in Denver.
1. Lawrence
2. Lance
3. Fields
4. Jones
5. Wilson

I think Jones is massively underrated and will be a very accurate pocket passer at the next level. I'm assuming they get him some weapons here on day 2. I have reservations about Lance as a passer but he doesn't turn the ball over, has immense rushing upside, and worst-case scenario he has a bunch of WRs who can do the work for him with after the catch skills. Fields is this year's Herbert.

I have a hard time with that too and I've been a 'dont draft TEs early' proponent forever. Pitts was the #4 pick overall to a system that uses TEs well, with a smart and accurate veteran QB, and minimal running game. In addition, there's rumors of Julio being traded this season. This is a great spot for Pitts and he is the best TE prospect I can remember.

I'm taking Chase over him still and can see taking Harris over him as well. In Superflex I'm fine taking all the QBs over him too, as QBs are gold in that format. But after that give me the league winning upside if your league requires a TE position.

Lawrence - best talent

Lance - best situation. Landing spot absolutely matters for QBs unless you are an all-time prospect. Elite offensive coach with a proven ability to get great production out of QBs. If I had the 1.01, I'd be interested in trading Lawrence for Lance++

Fields - arguably the best dual threat

Wilson

Jones - gets a good OC, but not sure how he does with a significant drop in offensive talent around him from college to the pros

So I own the 1.03 in a SF league and it's going to be a hard decision for me at that point. All of Wilson, Lance, and Fields could be there for me.

I see a pretty clear top 6 (I put Sermon up there but I know I'm currently an outlier with that opinion).

Outside of that, I still see good players in the first but nothing to really separate them so I don't see any real value difference from 1.07 to the top of the 2nd. After that it seems pretty trash. I'm trying to package any late 2nd and on picks for something.

Note: My thoughts were based on start 1QB. Superflex changes the math on that by about 4 picks.
