McCarthy is extremely overrated as a coach. He's mediocre at best.
The O line is horrendous, even without injuries. With the injuries? Might be the worst in the league.
The defense sucks too.

Really, if it wasn't for Rodgers, I think the Pack would be a 5-7 win team.

It's getting easier to justify starting Russ Wilson over A-A-Ron...Russ has blown up on my bench and out scored Rodgers 2 of 3 weeks. The other week he was only a point or two below Rodgers.

I don't want to have to think about who to start at QB. I just want Rodgers to ball.

This week was the first time that I can remember that in multiple leagues I saw people benching Rodgers for QBs that are not considered "elite" and didn't have great matchups either. In all cases that I saw, they were right to do it too.

You been watching the Packers? Obviously not. Julius has had a great beginning to the season. He was constantly in Stafford's face today. And for no reason? Rodgers. 5 straight playoff births. 3 straight NFC North titles. Obviously they were going to be called the team to beat.

...I'm not saying Peppers has been bad at all. What I was saying that they had much bigger needs than acquiring Peppers. The have no good tackling linebackers, their secondary is bad. Their offensive line is amongst the worst in the league. I don't care who your quarterback is - if they go against a good defensive line, Rodgers is going to struggle.

Aaron Rodgers - Trade Value

Postby yitzchaks » Wed Jun 24, 2015 7:20 am

If you were in rebuild mode, Probably wont compete for another year or two at least, would you trade Rodgers and what would you be looking for in return? I'm trying to asses his value.

We did not hold our rookie draft yet so all picks are on the table.
12 Team, 20 Keepers, .5 PPR (year 15) rebuild year 1
START: QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, TE, FLEX (WR/RB/TE), DEF

SIG 1
QB: J. Brisett,S. Ehlinger
RB: C. Edmonds, S. Michel, T. Sermon, C. Huntley, j. McKinnon, N. Hines, K. Ingram, R. Blackshear,
WR: AJ. Brown, J. Williams, T. Mclaurin, M. Gallup, D. Mooney, M. Hardman
TE: I. Smith, D. Njoku, I. Likely, C. Otton
DEF: IND

I would need a 1.04 or higher this year, a 1st round in 2016, a QB in return who will be starting (not in a QB battle at all)...then maybe another solid player as well...like a #1 WR but maybe tier 2 or 3...

Given your roster, I would look to sell Spiller and Graham after they have a few good games at the start of the season and build around Rodgers instead. If you're intent on selling Rodgers, I would need at least two early 1sts.
Kittles Pox | Championships: 2015, 2017
12-Team PPR | QB, 2RB, 2WR, TE, W/R/T, K, DST
QB: Kyler Murray, Aaron Rodgers
RB: Christian McCaffrey, Melvin Gordon, James Conner, Phillip Lindsay, Tevin Coleman, Boston Scott, Benny Snell Jr.
WR: Tyreek Hill, Mike Evans, Cooper Kupp, Michael Gallup, Christian Kirk
TE: George Kittle, Travis Kelce | K: Younghoe Koo | DST: SF
PS: Mecole Hardman, Tony Pollard | 2020 Picks: 1.09, 2.10, 3.03 | 2021 Picks: 1st, 2nd

x2 ... The QB I would want in return would have to be under 30 if I'm in a rebuild. Someone like Kap, Carr, Bridgewater, Winston, etc.

So top 4 2015 pick + 2016 1st + Carr + plus someone like Cooks, KB, Keenan Allen, etc.

That's too much and not realistic.

Having said that, as a rebuild team I'd hold onto him unless someone makes a crazy offer like this.

If I'm rebuilding I'm building *around* Rogers, not trading him away unless I got an insane offer and/or he was the only asset I really had to trade. He's only 31, in his prime and should have at least 5-6 more elite seasons in him plus a couple more top 10's after that. So he'll still be elite once your rebuild is finished. And if your rebuild doesn't go as planned *then* sell him for a haul in 3-4 years when his value is still waaaaaay up there.

To give you an idea of what it took to get Rodgers from me, I traded him and Garçon for Ryan, Evans, McCoy, the 14th overall pick in the 2015 draft and a 3rd round pick. Some thought I still lost this deal, but anything less and Rodgers would still be on my team.

I love ARod as much as the next guy, and I have ridden him to two championships in my main league. He is easily in the top 2 QB tier and likely has many elite years left in him. His WR core is stacked and his offense is a high powered throwing offense. However, unless this league is a 2QB league, then absolutely no QB should net you anywhere near these prices.
