4.58 (4.63 with adjust hand timed 40)

Came in lighter than expected and slower, thats not good folks. Y'all can have him with a mid 1st. He wont touch my rosters.

I think I will let someone else take him where hes going.
This is exactly why I was saying wait till this guy’s pro-day. I heard 4.5/4.4 at 220 on here and absolutely didn’t see it. This draft is getting slimmer and slimmer. Happy I traded all my late picks this year. Only players I want are Pitts, Harris, Lawrence, and Chase
If Harris runs a 4.6 which is possible will you be out on him too? Also I didn’t bother to check but I’m pretty sure off the top of my head Williams numbers are very similar to Josh Jacobs coming out .
No because Najee Harris is going to most likely weigh in between 220-230 pounds. Even a 4.6 won’t be a death sentence for him. On top of that in high school he tested with elite quickness and I expect that to continue to be the case

Not everyone can have Matt Nagy as their head coach!

You watch Williams play and he reminds you of Sankey? Because they both have 2 legs, or were there other similarities?

No need to be sorry. I was just hoping that you might drill down on that opinion.

I'm certain I'm wrong, but it was just an odd feeling watching him. What I remember about Sankey was that he could never turn it up a notch and he'd slow down and get caught. The counter is that Williams seeks out contact ahead of time knowing he can't outrun them with top end speed and is able to plow. Am I dogging it a little bit, yes, but it's just a vibe.

I'm sitting at 1.04 and can go either way depending on where he's drafted.

Thanks! I’m wrong enough that I value contradictory opinions. The input is greatly appreciated.

He doesn't need to run or test any drills...he is from the all mighty Alabama program after all. None of those guys need to test or weigh themselves, their too scared to man up as it might hurt their draft stock.

In that regard, you have to respect Ronald Moore. He knew he was short, and that will hurt his draft stock as there are no comparable players to him. But he showed up and put on display his complete athletic profile and dodged nothing.

I have Harris 2nd on my board so I like him as a prospect , he doesn’t everything well except run fast. I honestly was expecting him to run in the 4.65 range but it doesn’t bother me. I was just pointing out how Williams is dead to people for running a 4.55 when his combine performance and metrics are similar to other dynasty darlings like Akers,CEH, Jacobs etc

Lumping Akers in with Jacob’s and CEH is an odd choice

Physically Ceh is the odd man out , but the other 3 are all with 1 inch and a few pounds of each other and had similar combine numbers. Ceh while shorter was going 1.1 in most drafts last year despite running a 4.6 , the year before Jacobs was the consensus 1.1 despite running a 4.6 . I’m not here to argue if Williams is a better prospect or not but i just find it funny Harris,Jacobs, Ceh can all run 4.6 plus and it’s fine , Williams runs a 4.55 and it’s a death sentence.

I mean considering Williams ran what very close to what his hand timed was mentioned before the draft, I think it’s safe to say that Harris would have probably run between a 4.45-4.55 hand timed and a 4.5-4.6 actual 40 time.

Williams’ burst/quickness scores were not bad tho and imo make up for his low weight adjusted speed.
