He reminds me of Tyreek Hill as a player and the way Hill was used early in his career.

i remember drooling over tavon austin when watching his highlights. then i looked at his ypc and it was less than 10 i think. i couldn't correlate the discrepancy between film and stats. i figured he must of had a lot of catches for little or negative yardage. but his highlights were so explosive my brain couldn't overcome what my eyes were seeing on film. drafted him high in one league, big mistake.

the stats were the truer indication of him as a player. still explosive but couldn't really run routes and didn't have the desire to be great. the worst thing that happened to him was being drafted by jeff fisher. who knows what he could have been if a competent offensive team drafted him and taught him right from the outset.

Agreed. Also, Campbell is a 5th year senior, and did nothing until his 5th year. To me, he's a guy I won't touch unless it's much later than most are willing to take him.

I think he could be a less physical but much more explosive Golden Tate. Idk if he'll ever be a complete receiver but if he can catch 90 balls a year for 900-1000 yards I'd be pretty darn happy with that considering you can draft him towards the end of the 1st beginning of the 2nd

Well like or dislike his talent we've seen what his draft capital & situation are now and so therefore Campbell may never be a hidden gem in rookie drafts (based off of his rookie adp so far).

The good news (from my pov) is that owners with late 1sts can now hope to get a guy like him or Marquise Brown or Isabella or JJAW - and they all have potential for even better opportunities going forward depending on what their teams do.

Campbell is one of a couple pristine examples of the early may post draft bump. we see this every year, though it is probably more pronounced this year bc the talent curve is so flat.

his athleticism is undeniable. his talent at the position of WR is justifiably questionable. we will forget this with trou dropping, loin frothing certainty, however, and vault him to the early 1st because the colts took a WR.

I think it will be league dependant to be honest - he is going to go anywhere from 1.05 to 2.01 depending on who likes him and who has a need at WR or feels he is BPA. I just think the days you'd be able to grab him at a cheap cost are obviously gone (same as with Marquise Brown).

Glad I finally took a peek at this thread. I was pretty big on any WR that Indy drafts in the first or second round, this talk has cooled my jets on Campbell.

I don't see how you can take him over Hardman or Hollywood. They are both (better) at least as good in the short stuff and far better at actual WR stuff.

Id take Campbell over Hardman without even giving it a second thought. Hollywood on the other hand would give me pause.
