The team has a ton of talent but no team with Carson Wentz is that close to being a legitimate contender unless you just woke up from a 1 year coma

I imagine OT is their 1st round pick. The second rounder being edge would solidify Campbell's opportunity next year. Hopefully a WR doesn't fall there (if you own him)
As bad as Wentz was last year, it's hard not to see the colts as a serious contender if hes remotely "fixed". They were darn close with Rivers as the QB...so all Wentz needs to do is be better than that.

I still think the lack of WR is odd given they just made a career decision on wentz... you'd think they would want to surround him with solid WRs.

I expected a WR but now think TY back is the most likely outcome

That said Rivers was actually decent last year. 4000 yards with a bad recieving corps. Wentz being better than that would require tremendous improvement from last year

Yeah, I get that you were just listing late breakouts, but all of the rest were typically 1st round rookie picks, which makes it quite a bit harder for people to move on. Out of curiosity, where did you draft Campbell? Was it a SF league? Was your rookie draft after Luck retired? His ADP was probably the most volatile of all the 2019 rookies. He went 1.03 in my main league (team 1 in sig) where we draft two weeks after the NFL draft. I took him at 2.05 with team 2, but that was in late August.

I don't remember exactly when the draft took place, but we usually have our draft between the NFL Draft and June, so im pretty sure it was before Luck retired. I drafted him 2.08. 1qb no TE premium, however we do use IDP and usually 2-3 defensive players get picked in the 2nd round.

Also I was more listing players that I owned at some point and dropped or traded for pennies because I wasn't expecting them to breakout. Its honestly impressive how often that has happened to me lol

Guess it's not happening for Paris.

Hilton back in Indy on a 1-year deal. Of course, T.Y. could have more of those nagging soft tissue injuries. But Campbell's path to relevance just got that much more difficult. I'll see what happens in camp, but he's likely someone I could cut, then add back off the wire later if there's any reason to do so.

I have not caught many breaks this offseason. Aaron Jones back in G.B (to block Dillon), Hilton back to block Paris, Reynolds turning down KC and signing in TN, Rudolph brought in to NY to siphon off Engram, Godwin headed back to Tampa (and a crowded pack of pass catchers), etc...

I don't see the Hilton signing affecting Parris Campbell long term. There was no way Indy can rely on Campbell as a top 2 WR this year. He needs to prove he can stay healthy and produce. He can be a WR3 this year, with Hilton there, and move into a more prominent role next year if he proves himself.
