Oh stop it. With the way people in the dynasty community have acted for the past year with him it's too late to take the high ground now.OhCruelestRanter wrote: ↑Mon Mar 15, 2021 4:37 pm “After a year of being shouted down”???
Bro, this is the saddest display of emotional fragility. This whole concept of AJ Dillon having a gang of vicious truthers is a concept that exists within your own mind.OhCruelestRanter wrote: ↑Mon Mar 15, 2021 9:30 amI have no Dillon shares and I have not experienced “Dillon owners” as a noticeable faction. I don’t really see the people “going through the stages of grief” either. A lot of this seems to be going on inside your own head.
“HA TOLD YOU THAT MID-LATE SECOND ROUND ROOKIE PICK WOULD BUST” is the most embarrassingly small victory I’ve ever seen somebody take a victory lap over. These guys bust all the time. You want to go dunk on everybody who took Bryan Edwards next?
I cannot imagine how rare the feeling of vindication must be for you for this, the decrease in value of a mid-late 2nd round pick, to be one the one that you need an antagonistic victory lap on.

Sure, let's just pretend Dillon hasn't been the most overhyped player in dynasty with insufferable fans for the past year.Pac_Eddy wrote: ↑Mon Mar 15, 2021 4:10 pmFeels like he has some guys who were trying to sell him on Dillon in his leagues and is projecting that on all of us in this forum.Dynasty DeLorean wrote: ↑Mon Mar 15, 2021 3:53 pm I haven't seen anyone say he'd get 400 carries or 50 receptions. Yeah, I mean that's kind of the point. When I would explain that for Dillon to reach the RB1 status he was being sold as he would need to meet that criteria, I was met with swarms of truthers telling me about his big legs and that the Packers were going to reshape the offense around him. Forgive me for losing patience, but it was ridiculous the entire time.Dynasty DeLorean wrote: ↑Mon Mar 15, 2021 3:53 pm I haven't seen anyone say he'd get 400 carries or 50 receptions. Re: Sorry AJ Dillon owners
If they cut him after this year, they will incur 9.75 mil in dead cap based on the 13M signing bonus proration. After 2022 will be the more realistic cutting point (unless its a June 1st cut, in which case its 3.25 in 2022 and 7.5 in 2023)DonBrazi wrote: ↑Mon Mar 15, 2021 1:56 pm I'm no capologist.. not at all. But my understanding is that the AJones contract only really ensures he's in GB for 2021. $13M guaranteed (as a signing bonus) at $12M a year.. they cut him after 2021, there's no real dead cap hit.
If I was a Dillon guy, I'd still be a Dillon guy. Just maybe a slightly disappointed Dillon guy.
The real takeaway from all this has already been said:
And it's not just the 2020 draft. They've drafted roughly 1 high-end player over the last half-decade..

Seems to me you're just trolling is all. I've not seen anybody here say the things you claim to have been confronted with, neither in these forums, nor the trade finder, nor might I add in any of my leagues.MFundercover wrote: ↑Mon Mar 15, 2021 5:10 pmYeah, I mean that's kind of the point. So you had a correct hunch on GB keeping Jones and Dillon not becoming a rb1 this season, and were highly annoyed by all the folks disagreeing with you. On a fantasy football message board meant to discuss different takes and opinions.
That about cover it?

It’s okay. While the rest of the league plays checkers GB is playing chess. Cheer on that short game of playing for this year. GB plays long ball. We’ll see how it shakes out.

Yes... The long game of pissing off two of the best QBs to ever play, only to luck into yet another all time great to lean on for another decade and a half. Hate to break it to you, bub. They've had Rodgers (some may say the best QB in the league from a talent perspective) for the last 16 seasons. They have one Super Bowl. Most teams would aspire for more in a QB driven league.Bronco Billy wrote: ↑Mon Mar 15, 2021 7:26 pmIt puts them in the right spot going into post season, doesn’t it? But keep playing the long game and draft backup QBs, RBs, and TEs with premium picks while Rodgers plays out his twilight years.
Fingers crossed that Funchess turns into that WR2 that we always dreamed he'd become.

The only way this checkers and chess analogy works is if you are saying that everyone is playing checkers and GB are playing the wrong game. The equivalent of slamming their hand down and calling snap when the river gets laid in texas hold'emBronco Billy wrote: ↑Mon Mar 15, 2021 7:26 pmIt puts them in the right spot going into post season, doesn’t it? Re: Sorry AJ Dillon owners
Well this has devolved quickly. I agree with the takes that letting your All-Pro center walk is the bigger mistake over signing your starting RB. Unless GB has a reasonable replacement ready to take over, there will likely be a negative impact on the offence as a whole.
I'm a 49ers fan and watching the struggles of them trotting out 5th stringers at C and RG, you just knew that in any high-leverage situation, that would bite them in the @$$.
As a Herbert owner in both of my dynasty leagues, I was happy to see them bolster their OL with Linsley.
