agreed. williams had 40% snap share last season, provided he doesn't re-sign with GB (who knows...) i can see dillon having a similar share,
including goal line work, and be a serviceable RB3 with upside for the future.
Not a chance with how good Aaron Jones is at finding the endzone imo (coming from a Dillon owner) I think best case is they put him in to give Jones frequent breaks (thunder and lightning of Kamara/Ingram style), and grind out the clock once they essentially have the game in hand (Derrick Henry style). Jones is more dynamic and is better in passing situations (I know nothing of blocking, but I assume his experience would outweigh the size disparity between the two), has more experience, better connection to the team as of now, has a very good touch efficiency, and just signed a mega deal that the team will want to get their money's worth out of.
I think Dillon can have a solid End of season touch totals, but I don't see a path other than injury for him to ever crack a starting spot on most squads in the next two years.
I've said it before and I'll say it again. The Packers are a terrible franchise buoyed by two of the top 5 QB's of all time for the past 3 decades. They are cheap in FA, except now they are spending a bunch of money in all of the wrong places (Dillon/Williams + Linsley >> Jones/Dillon without Linsley), making absolute shite draft choices, keeping their team in perpetual limbo propped up against a first ballot HoFer
