Man, why? I’ve been in panic mode longer than the majority, but that’s silliness. Even if you wanna just get out, which I understand, why take such a piddly deal? Nice deal for you, lolSoftwoodGrampian wrote: ↑Thu Apr 01, 2021 11:20 pm I just got him and a future 3rd for a future 2nd.

Yes, me too. Poor wording on my part. The “wtf, why?” Would be directed at the guy that gave him up. “Nice deal for you” at the end wasn’t sarcastic haha.Bronco Billy wrote: ↑Fri Apr 02, 2021 6:38 am+1

The guy really just wanted to get rid of him. It’s a league where I really needed Q too so I hope he gets out of this unscathed.honcho55 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 02, 2021 6:52 amYes, me too. Re: Is it time to panic with Deshaun Watson yet?
The Houston Police Department has opened an investigation on Deshaun Watson.
In addition to the 20 civil lawsuits, a Jane Doe has officially filed a police report on Watson. This allows the police department to investigate the allegations and provides some clarity to Watson's attorney. Both the investigation and the civil disputes are expected to drag out, and the NFL can suspend Watson without a guilty charge or plead. Those in the NFL don't expect Watson to be traded by the NFL Draft, but that's obviously a secondary concern for Watson and his alleged victims. The Houston Police Department said they will not comment on the investigation.

Well, there goes the “no police interest” defense.

It was going to happen either from a filed complaint or community pressure. Buzbee called HPD out and Watson side welcomed an investigation.

I think this is an interesting time for this to be coming out about Watson. Right in the middle of a standoff between him and the Texans front office. Something here isn’t sitting right with me....

Re: Is it time to panic with Deshaun Watson yet?
Sorry coog, but the Texans aren't sabatoging one of the most important players in the history of their organization to gain an edge in a standoff. It benefits them none if he has criminal charges. The Godwin Complex wrote: ↑Sat Apr 03, 2021 8:25 pm I think this is an interesting time for this to be coming out about Watson. Like I said earlier in the thread, there are people in the NFL who act in the best interest of owners without always being told to. They do damage control on things like this. It would've hurt more for these allegations to drop during the season. I would bet that some of these women tried to file lawsuits last year. The Godwin Complex wrote: ↑Sat Apr 03, 2021 8:25 pm I think this is an interesting time for this to be coming out about Watson. It's not a coincidence that all of them are coming out at the same time....around the time there was first a private, then public breakup between Watson and the Texans. People are saying there's nothing for the Texans to gain by doing this and that's true, but it's really all about power and ego, and reminding a player where he stands while he's "quitting" on your organization.
But at this point, it seems clear there is a lot of juice to the story.

If it's found out that anyone affiliated with the Texans attempted to sabatoge Watson, the owner would be forced to sell his team immediately. Nothing is impossible, but it would be the stupidest thing they could possibly do.Cameron Giles wrote: ↑Sun Apr 04, 2021 6:57 amLike I said earlier in the thread, there are people in the NFL who act in the best interest of owners without always being told to. However, the prior post reminded me of an episode of McAfee’s show, where they were talking to the ex-GM of ....the Marlins? I was shocked to hear the amount of manipulation they do with journalists. They have key guys that they feed info to in exchange for them also publishing BS stuff if the team wants/needs to trade/cut a fan favorite.
