Postby Broncopain » Sat Sep 03, 2011 9:46 pm

I'm hoping its j. thomas. moeki just screwed me and now I have to drop him. kendricks is obviously already on a team but thomas is not.
QB - DWatson(HOU)Minshew(JAX)Darnold(NYJ)
RB -NChubb(CLE)DHenry(TEN)JTaylor(IND)Gurley(ATL)
WR -DHopkins(ARI)ACooper(DAL)CGodwin(TB)OBJ(CLE)
TE - HHenry(SD)DGoeddart(PHI)
K - Zurlien(LAR)Crosby(GB)
Def - ARI DAL
[rookie] Haskins(WAS)DSwift(DET)Jefferson(MIN)MHardman(KC)
7th pick in 2021

Rosters must always be 3qbs 4wrs 4rbs 2tes 2kickers 2dst and protected players don't take up a roster spot, but are only for rookie/2nd-year players that were drafted

Expect nothing from Julious Thomas until much further into the season, if at all. I think he's way too raw and inexperienced.

I agree with this, With my early rookie drafts i chose Virgil Green over Thomas, both are very raw but will be interesting to see how those 2 fare as the season goes on.

I think he'll contribute but not consistently enough to be a regular fantasy start for half a season or more. Currently Fells is the starter and behind J.Thomas is another pass-catcher in Virgil Green. I love Thomas' upside but it's cloudy as to what will happen with him.

Kendricks should post a solid rookie year, probably similar to what Carlson did his rookie season for Seattle if things go smoothly and MisHandles doesn't forget about the TE in his offense.

I think J.Thomas is looking like J.Cook.... take that opinion and time table for what it is. The only think that might help him is that there isn't really an established starter in front of J.Thomas. I like J.Thomas's upside, but there is no way he should be in anyone's starting lineup this year at this point.

I took Kendricks with my last pick in a redraft league to be my back up TE. I believe he will be the Rams best receiver and lead them in TD rec.

One thing worth remembering is that John Fox has an excessive preference for playing veterans over rookies.

I may be going out on a limb but i think Kendricks will end up leading the Rams in receptions this season 60+. So much in that Carousel of WR new offensive scheme and Amendola may not be used how he was last year!

I'd agree with that if the OC was different, but MisHandles has been about down-field passing games based exclusively on WRs. Kendricks will only be productive if McD breaks his clear tendencies of ignoring the TE(s) in his offenses.

I agree. I think Amendola will lead the team in receptions, MSW will lead the team in TDs and Kendricks will be a viable TE2 in fantasy football with low end TE1 potential this year.

now that Amendola is out for likely the season, what are people's thoughts on Kendricks, he layed a real goose egg yesterday, still worth a pickup?

I watched Kendricks drop two balls while being wide open and I didn't even watch the entire game.

That happens to rookies all the time. His talent and situation could vault him into the top 8 TEs in a couple years. But, not this year as a rookie.

My rule of thumb though is to never count on rookie pass catchers as needing to be fantasy relevant to your team. If so, you'll be disappointed 9 times out of 10.
