Wow, that's faster than I thought it would be. Good for the Lions to strike while the iron is hot.
Makes sense as many teams will fill up on rookie QBs or other QBs possibly to be traded like Goff, Jimmy g, wentz, etc. demand could be a lot lower later

Seems to be an awful lot of smoke around the Rams. As a Hawks fan, I'd hate to see Stafford joining the NFC West, as he'd instantly upgrade their offense. 2021 is shaping up to be one of the biggest recently for QB changes if all of Darnold, Goff, Stafford, Watson, (Tua?) end up changing teams. All that, coupled with the retirement of Rivers, and likely Brees in the coming weeks.

That's not even taking into account that Jacksonville and Washington will certainly have new QB's under center for 2021. And does Hurts end up beating out Wentz in Philly? Crazy times...

A nice return for Stafford. The Rams get a QB upgrade, but once again are short on draft picks.
Not all that counts can be counted. Not all that can be counted counts.

That is SO much more than I thought the Lions would get for Stafford. I like Stafford, but holy cow - what a haul.

Well, if you own Stafford, this is as good a landing spot as you could hope for. Gets one of the game's best offensive minds and he'll probably get a new contract as well to keep him there.

I'd still prefer the Detroit side of the deal though

Part of the price was for the Lions taking on Goff and his contract.

Exactly. I find that part of it kind of bizarre. Feels counterproductive for a rebuilding team to take on that contract at QB. But I guess they weren’t likely to find a team that likes giving out 1st round picks as much as the Rams lol

All I know is Stafford isn’t worth 2 1sts and a 3 more than Goff. Happy lions fan today. That doesn’t happen very often.

Goff is not a bad QB, made the SB and is the 2nd winningest QB the last 3-4 years. Stafford has similar stats and have never won a playoff game in 12 years. How many QBs can you say that about?

League #1- 14 tm ppr, 1Q, 2R, 3W, 1T, 1 R/W/T, 1K
1 DT, 2 DE, 2 LB, 1 CB, 1 S, 1 flex

League #2- 12 team PPR, 1Q, 1R, 2W, 1T, 1 R/W/T, 1 W/R/T, 1 Def

Poop. :wall:

As if Seattle didn't have a difficult enough time with the Rams as is. Good win-now move for the Rams, and it could work out for Detroit since they're obviously not planning on winning much in 2021. If they can hit on those picks, they might be able to get back to respectability. That's a big "if" though.
