S. Barkley and J. Chase for Tyreek Hill and M Gaskin
I thought this was a low offer but not the worst but then I got this one today
Barkley for J. Graham and Z. Moss
Is my value for Barkley too high or are these offers really bad?
I don't know why you didn't snap accept the second ones neck. People hurt my head
Seriously lol... the first one at least has Tyreek in it, but it's about a Jamarr Chase off. The 2nd one is a Saquon Barkley off

yea I mean to think the difference between Saquad and gaskin is the same as Hill and Chase is kinda ridiculous lmao

zaner75 wrote: Sun May 23, 2021 6:04 am Just took over an orphan in a 12 team PPR SF. Rookie draft is starting next week. Put up a trade block to get a sense of who is active and where other owners valuations are. First offer received was a doozy. Ran it through the trade analyzer just to put a number on how far off this was. "There is a calculated difference of 643.9 (53.6%) in your proposed trade." Lol.

I trade away: Prescott, Julio, 2.02
I receive: 1.03

Don't have much hope in finding a trade if that is the starting point. I like Mephistopheles comments as to why people send lopsided offers.
I’m sure I would too if I understood them.

I'd stay far far away from this idiot on trades. Those offers aren't even worth responding to.

I’ve actually gotten deals done with ppl like this. Maybe not for the same player but their value could be way off on a different pick or player and you can capitalize on that

Yes, absolutely. Their value might be terribly bad on one player but a great value on another.

That said, I'm not even putting out offers to sell Barkley, just like other players coming off injury.

Well said. It all comes down to the player & the time needed to figure out where/how to capitalize. I've seen owners send over really perplexing offers similar to give Barkley get Jared Cook - and then the next moment you see them spending 1.05 on Chris Carson.
Please speak to clarion contrarion before considering the use of vetos..

All this can be true - some people consistently value players/picks very, very uh... differently (being polite here!) than you do. Some people use simple lists or even tools for baseline of fair value (I do, just so I know at a very basic level if trades are at least in the ballpark), some don't - either way there's valuation differences you'll never escape.

You know all the negative reasons why they make their insane/sharky/ignorant/stupid, etc. offers, and why they ignore or reject yours. Any sense of fair value - if not fair play - is out the window.

100% okay to blacklist these handful of obvious GMs - learned over the years to spend as close to zero time or energy on offers to/from them. Once in a blue moon, sure, something resembling fair value might work for the GMs who are less consistent in their otherwise "difficult to work with" approach, but we're talking like very low odds here - and I personally don't have any patience left for that. Enjoying my hobby is the #1 priority.

Finally, I'll add that values of players and picks change all the time, sometimes shockingly fast. Experiencing this right now in my startup draft. It's another variable you have to keep in mind when calling something a "bad trade offer" - meaning, a day or week or month ago, it may not have been whatsoever.

Absolutely true, I get more deals done with these types of people than I do owners that value players the same way I do. Just because they send 10 garbage offers doesn't mean the 11th won't be worth pursuing. It really can't hurt you that badly to push the button that says Reject a couple times here and there can it?

I may make jokes about how terrible the offers are, but they never offend me. If it does, there's probably a deeper issue than player valuation to look into.

Took over an orphan in a 10 team SF PPR with deep starting rosters (start 14 - QB, 3 RB, 4 WR, TE, 2 R/W/T, 2 R/W, SF). Put Mahomes and Davante Adams on the trade block to get a sense of the room. The offers below are from different owners.

For Mahomes - receive Hurts + 2022 2nd
For Adams - receive Hockenson + 4.07 + 5.07

Considering their offer values I'd say you'd be able to make this orphan team a contender in no time by trading for all their undervalued pieces. Good luck!
