2021 Offseason Completed Trades

Question: Do you make a lot of trades that involve only a few spots? Normally I tend to trade up. I’m trying to get a better grasp on trading down.

PPR, 12 team league. Gave: Miles Sanders, 2.06 and 3.06 for 1.01 and 5.06. I am deep at RB and like Ja'Marr Chase or even trading the 1.01 later during the draft.

I love both players but you just gave up a potential stud 21 year old RB for a known stud 25 year old with a major knee injury in his history. And you got the worst of the pick swap to boot.

True ... I’m relatively impatient and am in “win now” mode if I’m even close. Values rise and fall like lightning. Look at Michael Thomas a year ago at this time. Or David Montgomery. Not For Long. But again you’re right. I also just love Chubb, who is ahead of Akers on every dynasty ranking except Football Guys, and I’ve made decent money betting against those knuckleheads even though I enjoy them. Even with the pick swap I supposedly ‘win’. Plus, again this is all at Chubb’s floor. If Hunt misses time Chubb is in the discussion for #1 overall. And (since I’m droning on) I’ve operated on the idea that whenever two players are close just go with the one who is on a team you’d rather root for. Unless you’re trying to make your living this I would think you’d want to err on the side of fun.

Well I may have overpayed a bit for watson a few days ago in my 14 team SF league (received watson, gave 1.04 and tua).

Just now in a 12 team SF (defending champs, team 2 in sig).

I’m happy enough with the return, though Robinson feels like a tough guy to get proper value. I own him across the board, was a popular FA pickup for me last offseason. So wanted to cash out somewhere. Was hoping for slightly better, but this was best I could find. Also allows me to keep him in my PPC leagues, and sell him in the just PPR, which was the goal as well.

I have a hard time valuing JRob because of the risk, but at that price I'd have held. OBJ is one of the most disappointing fantasy assets I've ever come across given the performance relative to expectation.
