Haha build a roster that might be able to knock him off on a fluke? Sure. But I think there can realistically only be one roster like that in a 12 team league. I've been trying to trade all season. Few are willing to trade at all and those that are already gave their best assets to the aforementioned teamShankopotamus wrote: ↑Wed Dec 23, 2020 9:43 amThe guy in our league with an unbeatable roster just got spanked in the semi-finals. His defense didn't show up and he was missing Kittle.Pac_Eddy wrote: ↑Wed Dec 23, 2020 7:43 am In your specific league, you have to ride it out. Build your team as best as you can, take your chances even if the odds are not in your favor. Try not to "gang up" on that guy, start making agreements to not trade with him, etc. That gets toxic real quick. As you mention, things can change quickly.
I'm in one Empire league. It's pretty fun. This is our 10th season I think. I don't think the previous year champion has been in the finals the next season even once. No team has been a huge juggernaut either.
Post that guy's team. I'm interested in how dominant he is.
You just gotta sack up and build a comparable roster.
I think he has a few advantages in the trade department since he knows some of the owners personally. The trade he made for MT for example was kinda ridiculous (I believe it was Cooper + Cooks for MT - this was when MT was going top 3 in startups)
But you're right, anything can happen and they could lose on any given week
