The biggest mistake that most people make is not starting their studs. They overthink matchups.

Start the players that got you there. Always play your studs.

Situation goes into making a player a stud. Zeke isn't performing like a stud because of his current situation. If you have someone who is playing better right now, then it makes sense. I've been sitting CEH for weeks, not that he's a stud, but he was putting up pretty good numbers for a while.

I got to the free agents before anyone else when the Jags released Fournette. I grabbed Ozigbo and Chris Thompson and left James Robinson right there. He was gone 15 minutes later.

Same! Felt like a total crap shoot if any of them would be relevant. Quite possibly a terrible committee where none were worth anything. I grabbed teh wrong one. And what a profit for those who eventually nabbed Robinson.

It's never going to be 100% a win if you do, just a higher probability, but you make a good point.

I own Miles Sanders and I played him every week. His last three weeks have been poor, and he was playing against the Saints defense who was #2 vs RBs in fantasy. I won because I played him. I know lots of people that sat Sanders because of this.

In the playoffs it's usually just 2-3 players that score big that propel a team over another. The more studs you start, the higher the probability you have to hit that target.

I've learned to experiment early in the regular season if there's an itch to because of hype or new opportunity, and to keep it simple afterwards. I can live with a random heroic performance from a bench player, but it will eat me alive if I sit a proven performer and he goes off.

Things you gotta console yourself with is if you lost because you started Adam Thielen over KJ Hamler you didn't do wrong. People what if themselves to much. Its a sad story but at the end of the day sometimes luck just isn't with you. Tis the season for RNgesus

Well said. Pretty much how I operate too. I will only bench a stud if there are compelling reasons to, and I have a bench player with compelling reasons to say they'll perform above expectations.

Does cmc count as a stud for this discussion? In one semi with him freshly activated. I can definitely foresee making the wrong decision there haha
