Re: Kyle Pitts
Ultimately, it just depends on your risk tolerance. Pitts is clearly an upper echelon TE prospect with the potential to be in the Kelce/Kittle/Waller tier, but in Start 1 TE leagues, you typically do not need an elite TE to win and we've seen elite TE prospects not pan out before. It's a tough position to master, regardless of whether you are a plus receiver or not.
Re: Kyle Pitts
Does landing spot matter much with his abilities? I mean, you would hope a team doesn't take him top 10 and use him as a "traditional TE" right?
Re: Kyle Pitts
I don't think it matters any more for him than it does for any prospect, the only team that somewhat concerned me as a landing spot (Eagles) traded out of range to get him most likely. I'm comfortable with him going to any of the teams in the current top 10.
Re: Kyle Pitts
Wonder how many around here are old enough to remember ESPN classing Colston as a TE his rookie year? That caused a big uproar on sites back in the day.
The only difference is Pitts will actually be classed a TE as he lines up outside and in the slot all the time to create mismatches.
Shocked how many keep referring him to him as a traditional type TE when he would most likely be the first WR taken in the NFL draft if he was simply classed as a WR.
It is pretty simple to see where he plays on the actual field if one just watches tape. Thinking ANY NFL team will pigeon hole him at this point is just plain silly.

I remember. And it really helped the teams that drafted him for that season.Ice wrote: ↑Thu Apr 01, 2021 5:53 pmWonder how many around here are old enough to remember ESPN classing Colston as a TE his rookie year? That caused a big uproar on sites back in the day.

But even after that first year, he had a few productive seasons. And yes, Pitts >>>>>>>>>>>>>>Colston.

Re: Kyle Pitts
I remember drafting Colston as a loop hole and getting lucky. Pitts is special. I have been saying it since day one, but he may be getting to expensive for me. That is saying a lot from me.Ice wrote: ↑Thu Apr 01, 2021 5:53 pm Wonder how many around here are old enough to remember ESPN classing Colston as a TE his rookie year? Re: Kyle Pitts
-The biggest knock on Pitts would probably be his ability at the point of attack: His 63.7 run-block grade ranked 128th among 366 qualified tight ends last season.
-Pitts lined up in the slot or out wide on 42% of his snaps during his three-year career at Florida.
Certainly sounds like a receiving specialist.

I do, although I don't really think there is a bad spot for him. In ATL though he could really start strong, Ryan loves going to the TE and defenses are going to already have Julio and Calvin to deal with, but I think it's QB at 4 just not sure if it's going to be ATL making the pick or not.OhCruelestRanter wrote: ↑Tue Apr 06, 2021 7:22 amDo you think that’s a good spot for him?

Re: Kyle Pitts
Idk man. How many targets is he going to get from Matt Ryan early on with Julio, Ridley, Hurst, and Gage all on the roster, and Arthur Smith calling the plays? Then going forward they have to replace an aging Ryan?bjd5211 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 06, 2021 7:30 amI do, although I don't really think there is a bad spot for him. I think Cincinnati, with Burrow already in place, only Higgins and Boyd to compete for targets with, and a trash defense that will force them to play catch-up is a much better spot.
I agree with you though- I think a QB goes 4th, whether or not it’s to Atlanta is unclear.

Re: Kyle Pitts
Austin Hooper got 97 in 13 games with those guys in 2019. People get too freaked out about receivers "stealing targets" from each other on loaded teams, more weapons just make each others jobs easier. Plus Julio is coming off a fairly injury plagued year, if that continues their receiving corps won't be nearly the same as it currently looks on paper.OhCruelestRanter wrote: ↑Tue Apr 06, 2021 7:36 amIdk man.
