I'm guessing you're only looking at their 2020 season? Fant played the majority of this season through a high ankle injury he reaggravated at least twice during the season. Prior to the injury he was a significantly more efficient player which falls in line with his historically efficient rookie season.

Through the first 3 games of 2020, Fant averaged 3.96 YPRR (Kittle was #2 this year with 2.94); 13.1 YPR (7th in the NFL behind Kittle).

Go watch Pitts in the Alabama game. He was dominant.

Pigeonholing him like run of the mill TE’s IMO is a mistake many of you will realize about the time he causes a few fantasy losses.

Digging your heels in based on past metrics of a typical TE is nuts iMO

Btw, I drafted Fant one spot behind Hockenson but rated Fant one spot higher. Arguing these two is like arguing the difference between the right and left Twix!

Yeah, but what about the first half of the 3rd quarter in games 5, 7, 8 and 15?

Given that he missed week 5 after being carted off the field vs the NYJ's in week 4, I can only assume you're being facetious here.

If you want to say the games he played before the high ankle injury is a completely random sample size, I disagree; While I accept that 3 games is a low sample size, it's not that small, there is a sizeable buffer for regression (Kelce 2.62, Waller 2.37, MAC 2.26, and Andrews 2.12 are the next 4 in YPRR) and it makes more sense than assuming Fant got worse after his rookie year (where he averaged 1.97 YPRR).

After a lot of trading I have the 1.01, 1.02, 1.03 and 1.08 in a Superflex TE Premium rookie draft. I am expecting to have to decide between Kyle Pitts and Javante Williams and maybe even Davante Smith at 1.08...

You take Smith before Pitts (assuming neutral landing spots) unless TE premium is nuts. I have Pitts over Willimas

TE premium...... I think you're dreaming if you think Pitts falls to 1.8. You have more trading to do if you don't take him at 1.3 in that format.

Agree. In TE Premium you MUST take Pitts at 3. So go QB/RB/WR for 1 and 2, whatever you like or need. I probably go Lawrence, RB (Harris/ETN), Pitts if it's me. There will be good WRs falling to you at 1.08.
D3:
QB—Allen, Pickett RB—Kamara, Jacobs, ZWhite, Edwards, Ford, Warren WR—Lamb, Olave, DJM, Puka, Tillman, Marshall, Jefferson, Robinson, Tucker TE—Ferguson, Schoon, Likely, Smith, Washington, Kraft PK—Prater DEF—BAL

D4:
QB—TLaw, JimmyG, Tannehill, AOC, Hall RB—Bijan, Kamara, Conner, Gainwell, Gainwell, Foreman, ZMoss, Chandler, McLaughlin, Murray WR—Jefferson, Hill, Adams, Allen, Tillman, Woods TE—Kelce, Kmet, Conklin PK—Butker DEF—PIT

Superflex 1:
QB—Mahomes, Rodgers, Mayfield RB—Bijan, Kamara, Allgeier, Singletary, Mostert, BRob, Warren, Rodriguez, Spiller WR—Chase, DJM, Devonta, MBrown, Myers, Reynold, Jones TE—Kmet, Likely, Kraft, Conklin, Hurst, Hudson PK—Elliott DEF—PHI

Superflex 2:
QB: Goff, Cousins, Wentz, White; RB: Bijan, BRob, ZWhite, Allgeier, McLaughlin WR: DJM, Higgins, JSN, Downs, RMoore, Atwell, SMoore, PCampbell, DPJ, ATP, Hutchinson, Iosivas, Devante, CJones TE: Ferguson, Kraft, Trautman, Tremble

Better idea, trade the 1.03 to a Pitts truther like this guy for a mid 1st and a late 1st/early 2nd.
I'd also be looking to sell the 1.01 for a King's randsom as well. This is a very deep QB/WR/TE class and if you don't need a RB these early 1sts are probably overvalued much like the 2020 early 1sts were

If taking the under on projecting a (fantastic) college TE prospect to be as good as Darren Waller is being a hater, guilty as charged.

He won't be there at 1.08. Guaranteed. And with Superflex, expect a lot of QBs to go in the top half. So at 1.08 you COULD see one of Harris, Etienne, Chase, or Smith. Probably Chase or Smith. I like Bateman a lot there, too.

1.01 Lawrence
1.02 Harris/Etienne
1.03 Pitts
1.08 Smith/Bateman

That would be SWEET.
