Self pat on the back thread

No one likes a subtle self congratulating thread boasting about moves made during the season so how about a not so subtle thread about amazing moves made this season? I'll start :D

Traded a 2022 1st for Aaron Donald

Traded Aaron Donald for S. Barkley, 2x firsts & 2x seconds (AD has led our league in scoring, and will win you weeks if he records multiple sacks. Anyways still a giant overpay)

Traded Z. Moss for 2023 1st & 2nd

Traded all picks above 3 first and 3 seconds (all 2022 & 23 picks) for R. Wilson & AJ Brown

and I'm still struggling to make the playoffs lol.... Lets hear your story (keep it short....)

Preseason traded - David Johnson and Keenan Allen for Antonio Gibson, AJB, 2021 late first, 2022 first.

Early season traded - OBJ and Ertz (both pre-injury) for Tyreek Hill.

Early season traded - Gesicki for Mims

Turned out ok so far :D

Not to rain on the parade that is this thread, but i had to comment on this one. So you paid a 2022 first for Donald, and then someone in that league thought they'd double what you paid in firsts, add 2 second rounders, AND add Barkley? Wtf?

I think we can end this thread here.

During negotiations he made it clear he was going all in to win it all this year. Evidently he believed David Johnson would be like a strong RB2 this year, didn't believe Gibson would amount to anything notable, and didn't really trust AJB in PPR too keep up his late season production from last year.

Uhhh, needless to say I was shocked at how lucky I was to close this deal.

For the record, he is currently projected to be the number 2 seed.

This is gonna start out looking bad but i think the finished product is good and its a rebuild

Offseason
Package trade but the main piece was Ridley For DK
Traded Josh Jacobs for Sutton and 2 Seconds
Used One of those seconds plus a 2020 first and 2021 1st and Hollywood brown to move up to Draft swift
Traded Melvin Gordon during the draft to get Mims and James white
Traded for the 2.10 during the draft and got Gibson

Ended up with Mims, Swift, and Gibson at 2.10

During season
Traded James White for a second
Traded Gallup for a low first
Traded Sutton for Pittman and Nkeal (Yuck) Harry
Traded Lamar Jackson for Justin Jefferson, A projected high first and Baker Mayfield
Traded Myles Gaskin for Projected 2.02
Traded Baker Mayfield In a package for Projected 2.05
Traded Justin Jefferson for Nick Chubb straight up

My roster is now
Carr (yuck i know, im working on it)
Nick Chubb
D'andre Swift
Antonio Gibson
Dk Metcalf
Michael Pittman
Denzel Mims
Irv Smith

Plus the projected 1.03, 1.11 or 1.12, 2.02, 2.05

I think its a pretty good team, im very happy with it and i think it could be very competitive next season if i make the right moves and draft well

He still must hate this trade sooooo much.

I’ll be honest I drank the juice on David Johnson also. I already had him rostered but I was pretty sure he could muster up one more rb2 season. I had him in the rb 8-12 range on the season. Ya that was aggressive at the time but who would have guessed the Texans offense as a whole would have been so terrible.

Obviously a terrible trade for that guy

RB: Bell, J. Howard, K. Drake, L. McCoy, M. Ingram, Gio, Gore, Ivory, Booker
WR: Keenan, Woods, Fuller, Crabtree, Jordy, Dez, Doctson, Sanu, Albert Wilson

I had the 1.06 pick in a SF league. Akers and Swift were still available, but I wanted to trade back to get more picks as I was doing a rebuild. A guy was offering me Terry McLaurin & the 1.14 for the spot. I asked him who he wanted and he said "Akers" because he was desperate for a RB. I declined the offer and told him I'd only accept if he drafted Swift. We had a pow-wow and after a while he agreed with me, did the deal and took Swift.

He has thanked me several times since then. I feel good about the advice and I got a great return (Reagor & McLaurin).
