Re: Taysom Hill time
11 career passes I believe. It was posted earlier, I don't expect Hill to play more than 50% of the game. Atlanta is going to score often and with Hill, I don't see NO keeping up.Bronco Billy wrote: ↑Fri Nov 20, 2020 12:11 pmPretty bold position for backing a guy who has thrown less than 20 passes in 4 years in the league.

Re: Taysom Hill time
I actually think Hill will do pretty good, I think it will be mostly a short passing game and a lot of running the ball. Like someone else said, that’s pretty much what they were doing with Brees. The next 4 games aren’t very hard either, Falcons at home, at Denver, at Falcons, at Eagles, they should be able to win all of those with this kind of game plan, imo.
Re: Taysom Hill time
The bold position is not for his passing and was backing him for this week. All I know is, I remember Tebow (and many other running QB's) being a top 12 fantasy QB. High floor and decent ceiling if he is the Saints QB this week.Bronco Billy wrote: ↑Fri Nov 20, 2020 12:11 pmPretty bold position for backing a guy who has thrown less than 20 passes in 4 years in the league.

I’m thinking on that same line as you are, like I said earlier, he’s playing the Falcons, Broncos, Falcons & the Eagles in the next 4 weeks, none of those teams are very good, he doesn’t have to be a “great” passer to put up solid fantasy numbers. I could be wrong but I’m imagining a stat line of like 150-175 yards passing, 50 yards rushing and probably like two total tds for this Sunday against the Falcons. That would give an owner around 15-20 points at least, if that happens. I’m streaming him in a few 1QB leagues, maybe he doesn’t pan out but I like his chances.
Re: Taysom Hill time
Funny enough, there's 10 QB averaging over 20 PPG this season. 15-20 points isn't QB1 territory this year, but I see your point. I'd just have him as more of a safe QB2 option.Cowboysfan33 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 20, 2020 6:20 pmdmac37 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 20, 2020 6:13 pmThe bold position is not for his passing and was backing him for this week. I think your estimates are pretty close but I wouldn't be surprised if he failed to hit 150 passing yards and threw an INT or 2 on the way to a 10 point outing. His rushing probably gives him a nice floor though, as does his skillset in general when he gets enough snaps in this offense
Re: Taysom Hill time
I came here to make the Tebow reference, but you beat me to it. We have to remember that he doesn't have to do well IRL to do well for fantasy, especially on platforms where he can be plugged as a TE or flex where he effectively becomes a (legal) cheat-Super Flex. I'm taking those chances myself this week in a must-win game, myself, actually. I feel just as good about him as any other guy I'd flex. His floor has to be higher, if he does, in fact, play a good portion of this game lined up at QB.dmac37 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 20, 2020 6:13 pmThe bold position is not for his passing and was backing him for this week. Re: Taysom Hill time
Yeah, I think what I like about streaming a player like Hill is that safe floor, I’ll be very surprised if he doesn’t have at least around 50 yards rushing but who knows? I don’t even really think he will be a future starting QB, I just like his matchups the next few weeks and the aforementioned rushing ability. Full disclosure- I’m starting him in one league where I’m 8-2 but have J.Allen on a bye, I own Bridgewater but didn’t want to wait it out with him and my only other viable option was A.Smith and I like Hill’s matchup/safe floor better. In another league where I’ve had a horrible season, I’m 3-7 and starting him over J.Goff & B.Mayfield, that was easy though since I’m basically out of it and don’t like either one of their matchups. The worst would be if Payton pulls him if the Saints offense gets off to a bad start but I doubt it, because he’s Payton’s pet project and they have quite a bit of money invested in him.Jigga94 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 20, 2020 7:59 pmFunny enough, there's 10 QB averaging over 20 PPG this season. 15-20 points isn't QB1 territory this year, but I see your point. Re: Taysom Hill time
All I've seen is speculation this am about who will start, Hill or Winston. If the coaching staff isn't fully sold on either of those as a starting QB for a top tier playoff team like New Orleans, it's interesting that they picked up Siemian off Tennessee's PS yesterday and then immediately put him on the active roster.

Re: Taysom Hill time
Oh no. Somewhere out there, there's a campaign to only start Hill at QB, regardless of his positional eligibility. Others will reply that anything the platform/rules allow to happen is legal.d3sp3rad0 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 20, 2020 8:00 pmI came here to make the Tebow reference, but you beat me to it. Re: Taysom Hill time
Well, despite starting out slow, Hill ended up having a very good fantasy day with 18-23 233 passing yards, 51 rushing yards 2 Rushing TDs, scored 26.42 in most of my leagues, I’ll take that all day long. I predicted 150-175 pass yds, 50 yards rushing and 2 total tds. Good job to all that started him!

Good fantasy day, but I just don't see why a team would want him to be their long-term starting QB.

I feel like this is a situation where we see both guys multiple times throughout the game.
A real fantasy headache unless you play BB.
