Same thing happened to Wentz last season. He dove for the endzone, and was ruled short because he “gave himself up” by going down. :roll:
Which is a terrible rule. How is somebody giving themselves up when they are literally doing the opposite.
It's a dumb rule, but they are trying to eliminate the dangerous situation for QBs who are largely the face of the league. The part I don't get is why the flag for the late hit was picked up if they ruled Rodgers as "giving himself up" by diving.

I also hate how QBs are able to "fake" a slide and continue running. Darnold did it on his 75yard run a few weeks back and Mahommes did it last night. It puts the defense in a no win situation.

Was playing vs Murray and Lamb was up 48 points...... won by 1.5 :) :) :)
