Some garbage time boosted production, but he's having one hell of a rookie season
He was still at 8/118/1 before the last play

AP still got plenty of work too, but yes - encouraging stuff from Swift. His first big run was a beauty.
Think they both had 16-17 touches. Don't know snap share.

Why are they even looking at this Rodgers TD? He wasn't touched until well after he scored, even if his knee hit first

E: Wait how the hell was that reversed? No way he was down by contact. And my opponent has Jones so thats a damn 12 point swing.

E2: Apparently the refs ruled Rodgers was giving himself up on a head first dive for the endzone? WHAT???

What the heck happened on that review? I was on redzone channel so didn't hear the explanation. He wasn't touched and wasn't sliding so how the heck was he down?

Pretty sure it counts as a slide so any body part touching the ground is play over regardless of contacts. Someone else will probs chime in with the correct interpretation.

It took Eddie George 90 carries to get to 212 yards.

So just heard the commentators mention a rule change 2 years ago and it essentially counts as a slide :?: Maybe a rule brought in to save qbs being hit, I'm not sure.

Weird so even if he dives head first it's a slide?

So how does that even ever work? On a slide you bring the ball back to where the QB starts the slide, so wouldn't the ball be moved back like a yard? How does that even work with Cam Newton diving into the endzone around the goaline a couple times every week?

And how does it protect the QBs? It's not like in the future the QB is going to slide 1 inch short of the goaline when they think they can get in.

Bizarre rule.

Yeah, first I'm hearing of it. Absolutely absurd for that play to be considered Rodgers giving himself up...so QBs literally can't dive for yards anymore.

Also, if he was giving himself up they shouldn't have picked up the flag on the late hit.

haha got me stuffed why, my assumption for protecting the QB was counting any sort or dive/slide/whatever in a downward motion as giving up so they don't get hit just because they are going head first, it was the only thought that came to mind why they would have changed the rule

I just love how they made this rule change to protect QBs and then applied it to deprive Rodgers of a TD but picked up a flag on a late hit on the same play.

Just to be clear I made an assumption it was to protect the QB, honestly can't remember it happening before for reference and yeah he got hit anyway haha so didn't protect anything regardless
