To be fair, the Raiders have zilch behind Jacobs (booker to the giants, and Richard had a whopping 41 touches last season in 13 games) while yes their OL is looking really suspect, signing a competent backup RB was a need for the team. Maybe Drake is a bit over qualified, but the contract they signed him to doesnt scream big time usage, I would expect him to have barely more usage than Booker last season

Wow. As an Edmonds owner I am happy. Was just going to inquire about Jacobs, I might pump the breaks.

I just slammed on the brakes and came to a complete stop.

I had a deal in place of getting Jacobs for 1.5 and we were going back and forth on what pick I'd get back with Jacobs. That's all done now. Going to try and steal him for two 2nds now.

This is probably what they are looking for at this point. They aren't going to get big money multi-year contracts, so it would make sense if their next preference would to be take a 1 year deal and be able to get a new one when the cap jumps up with the new TV negotiations and what not. Of course cash strapped teams will shy away from 1 year deals where they can't push some of the cap burden to future years. Should be interesting, and hopefully this means Kenny and JuJu sign something here soon.

My guess would be a cheap veteran and a draft pick. I'm not high on Etienne, but he would be a good fit here.

Arizona will 100% bring someone else in, but Edmonds has a chance of being the 1a next year which would be great for his value.

Assuming Golladay gone, a rookie would face competition from Perriman/Tyrell/Cephus. Even after accounting for Hockenson and Swift/RBs, it'd be a sweet opportunity.
