Deep, Deep Sleepers?

Postby TheGunSlinger » Sat Oct 10, 2020 2:09 pm

I am in a 1qb 12tm league, 28man rosters. Total rebuild, I am looking for some deep, deep sleepers that may make some sort of impact this year. Selfishly, I am hoping I can turn them into late picks, or find that diamond in the rough. Players like Jeff Smith, Zaccheaus, are already rostered. Looking for players in the Fulgham, Isaiah Wright (WR, The Football Team), Freddie Swain etc. Major dart throws, but on a rebuild worth a shot. Who are your deep, deep sleepers at this point? Any help would be great!

Isaiah Ford if he’s available he’s overtaken Preston Williams in snaps and targets

Like I said in the original post. Someone like Fulgham... WOW, what a day for him, Claypool too

Auden Tate. I dont like his athleticism l, but he does have some skill, and crazy things happen.

Equanimeous St. Brown. I had some hope for him coming in to the season, but the healthy scratch week 1 was disappointing and now he's stuck on IR. Definitely a long shot, but he's athletic and has flashed in the past. Packers won't put him 9n practice squad which tells me they think he would get picked up by another team, and he must be a good player.

If you have IR slots check out Jalen Hurd and Kelvin Harmon...both came into the league with good college pedigree but have been slowed by injury. Was watching RZ channel yesterday and couldnt help but notice Collin Johnson making nice grabs for Jax. Also check out nflgsis and monitor snap counts...sometimes thats an early indication of a player breaking out

Hopefully you added Fulgham before this past week. I also like Tyler Johnson in Tampa Bay. I see you landed Herbert which looks like a great start to the rebuild.

Vyncint Smith WR for the Jets. He’s been on IR, but is nearing a return. He’s shown playmaking ability, albeit in very small doses, but he will have opportunity, and he is a burner with decent size. Total dart throw, but worth a toss.

D’Onta Foreman! If he gets promoted to the active roster could be an injury away from being the starter. Evans placed on IR and it seems unlikely the Titans would view mcnichols as a full time guy

Far out, I completely forgot about this guy. How likely is this in reality that he supplants McNichols, though?

I always had a little hope for D'onta, but he seemed like a full-blown headcase last we saw of him in Houston.

The title is “deep DEEP sleepers” lmao. As for Houston, are we really trusting anything BOB did as gm of the Texans?

Not buying Foreman at the moment. Needs to get promoted to the active roster first. Beat reporters were complimentary to the shape he got himself in this season, but then the Titans had McNichols over him last week (and McNichols actually looked good as well). He is a power runner just like Henry. Not sure they want a much worse version of Henry to spell him on passing downs.

Like this call. Have already added him in dynasty. Though Jets decision making is some of the worst in league history, they let Robby walk because they believed in this guy. Take that for what it is worth. He will, at minimum, get the opportunity like he did last year.

Right, I meant only if Henry gets hurt.

Ty Johnson? Jets backfield is a mess but one of the backs may emerge post-Gase.

Fair enough. He might have legit keeper value as a broke man's Henry. I have him on my radar.
