Gabriel Davis

Postby dvpkwys » Wed Sep 23, 2020 6:18 pm

I haven't watched any of the Buffalo games - Davis is on my wire, not a lot of yards or targets, but should he be scooped up now? I have a free spot with Bosa going to the IR. Thoughts on Davis?

Yes. He had a great camp and will be good in a year or two. He is getting a few looks now (though WR4) and they really like him.

I would absolutely stash him. The Buffalo brass loves him and he is getting on the field as the WR4 with a ton of potential.

For sure if he gets an injury to Brown or Diggs ahead of him

I'd leave him on the wire in a 10 team non ppr.

That said, I have him on several teams and expect him to progress as the season goes on. Perhaps all he needs is an injury to cement his role.

I stashed him in several leagues, but figured it'd take three years or so to break out. This year was a marked improvement over his rookie year, and today's 8/201/4 against the Chiefs set the NFL record for playoff TD catches in a game.
League #1- 14 tm ppr, 1Q, 2R, 3W, 1T, 1 R/W/T, 1K
1 DT, 2 DE, 2 LB, 1 CB, 1 S, 1 flex

League #2- 12 team PPR, 1Q, 1R, 2W, 1T, 1 R/W/T, 1 W/R/T, 1 Def

League #3- 12 tm PPR, 1Q, 0R (yes, ZERO RB) 3W, 1T, 2 R/W/T flex, 1 Def

Thought he’d have a mini breakout this season. Does this playoff performance count? Glad I have him stashed almost everywhere as I’ll expect the more traditional 3rd year breakout. What a game though!

Holding Davis. But I’ve been a truther from day one. That’s why I drafted him almost everywhere. YEAR 3! But honestly he’s still just a priority prospect.

I am a UCF guy and I love Davis but I wouldn't get to excited. He still has to many drops and the backup safety he picked on had a lot more to do with his numbers than him playing lights out. I mean props he showed out bigtime but I wouldn't go projecting him a WR1.

Not the strongest draft so I would be hesitant to trade him today. I see him as a top 30 WR prospect going forward. he has really developed and hat he did last might has never been done before in the playoffs.

I own him in a lot of leagues and started him several times since week 10. He was coming on strong late this past season.

Davis looked very impressive and this could be very wrong in the future, but it'd be hard for me not to take a first for him.
