I should walk my previous statement a bit.... The rumor floating around is that Mitchell will start the season on the PUP. Hogan and Edelman are locks. I think that unless his knee isn't healthy, Matthews is a near lock. Patterson makes the team as the KO guy who maybe gets 2 or 3 gadget touches a game. I've also read that Braxton Berrios was drafted specifically to fill Amendolas punt return role. That leaves Britt and Phillip Dorsett probably fighting for 1 roster spot. Maybe they both make the initial 53 with Edelman suspended, but it would make sense to me that one if them would be let go to make roster room when Edelman is back.

Beyond that Britt just doesnt feel like a Belichick type guy to me. He doesn't add any ST value. He migjt still have some ability, but it seemed like Dorsett was getting way more snaps late last season than Britt.

It will be more obvious to you when you've been studying GMs for 30 years or so.

What's the consensus from Duke Johnson owners? With Hyde and Chubb in town, the drive by assessment is he's on the down trend. But his new contract would say otherwise.

He was RB14 in my .5ppr last year. I think he still finishes as a solid RB2 and am looking to buy.

What would it take? Second seems about right to me.

I was thinking about this as well,

I personally feel his job will be for a season or 2, just so Chubb learns the system and possibly learns pass protection and the 2 min offense, 3rd and long situations.

After that I fear he will go down the Theo Riddick, and Charlie Sims route and thus his value taking a steep turn.

pass catching back can explode one year, then drastically decline the next, as fun as they are in PPR, they don't carry a long shelf life, so when the value is hot on them, that's when you should be looking to sell.

another Cohen will pop up on the FA, it happens every year.

I was listening to a podcast the other night (I dont remember which one) and one of the guys on there suggested that the bigger threat to Duke was Jarvis Landry. His theory was that last season Duke was basically the Browns slot WR and that this year Landry would soak up a lot of those underneath targets that went to Duke last year.

I don't know how true it is but it sounds plausible to me.

That's actually a good point and I didn't even think of that.

I can see that being a concern for him to try and repeat his 70 catches as he did last year.

he may go back to his 50 catches on 70 targets witch puts him back a low-end RB2

Do you guys think that means Landry will also be impacted to produce numbers like he did in the past as well?

Making Landry a good sell?

This signing was neither good for Landry or Duke's catch totals.

While neither may fall off the cliff both of their catch projections have to come down from last season IMO

I think Landry is a hold. I believe in him a great football player. I think the signing in Cleveland hurts his perceived value potentially and if you can't get a reasonable return you hold especially in PPR.
