Bad game saved by garbage time receptions. Good floor for competitors though...hard to be upset with 4-5 receptions each week.

Re: James Robinson
Still 4 teams left to play tonight, but if "quiet week/bad game" means #9 RB on the week so far, sign me up. Garbage time TD I know, but JRob's not the first RB to get a meaningless TD, and he won't be the last.
He's also firmly 2nd among rookie RBs in snap % behind only CEH (who might concede 1st once Bell is active), despite being on a Jags team that's constantly trailing and has Jay Gruden's receiving back man-crush Chris Thompson. And he's beating Thompson in every receiving category anyway (most notably JRob's 26 targets for 7.96 YPT vs Thompson's 16 targets for 5.84 YPT).
As others have alluded to here, I don't think Armstead is coming back this season (I feel for the guy; hope he's not having any serious struggles with COVID and it's more just an unofficial "opt-out" at this point). There is Ozigbo's return to think about, which will likely be week 9 after the bye. That is probably the most intriguing thing to watch on the near-term horizon for JRob. I don't think Ozigbo will pose much of a threat to JRob's role, but you never know. Regardless, there's still plenty to feel good about for now.
And yes, I'm a biased JRob owner.

He has great vision, real nice power and he's explosive. Smoot pass catcher too, he's a locked in RB2 and I don't think he's a fluke.
Silhouette him and CEH and you can barely tell the difference.

Both long shots, low draft capital investments by bad teams. Both exceeding expectations with minimal competition. Neither look flashy, but are consistent, and balanced Rbs. Both have high volume floors for PPR but below average YPC (gaskin 4.1, robinson 4.3). And...Both have high odds of being replaced sooner than later.
And yet I see conversations of robinson being thrown around for 1sts while gaskin can be had for a 3rd despite very similar production once he took over the job in week 3.

Re: James Robinson
Yup I said quiet week sometime after the half when he was sitting there with 11 rush for 21 yards and 2 rec for 5 yards. That's pretty bad. Luckily the last 2 junk time drives he doubled his yardage for the game and added 2 more catches and the TD. The TD saves the day for sure here.Life of Pablo wrote: ↑Mon Oct 19, 2020 8:29 am Still 4 teams left to play tonight, but if "quiet week/bad game" means #9 RB on the week so far, sign me up. And that's not to completely discount his day. The Jags will be trailing a lot. It's encouraging to see his usage even when they fall behind. But it will be interesting to see what happens in that backfield if he continues to compile 50 yards a game on 15+ touches.
He's actually RB7 in my league (tied with James White, full ppr). I expect Zeke and CEH, maybe Singletary and Drake/Edmonds pass him, but he's still a RB1 for the week.

2) JRob is newer and shinier.
The same reason why people were excited about CEH coming out of the gate hot, but then are more cautious about Josh Allen coming out of the gate slow. There’s less precedent for JRob whereas Gaskin has a year between him being drafted and this production. People may be weighing that into their evaluations.

So what's his current value right now?
I've certainly enjoyed his production to start the season, but thinking of cashing out on him now before his schedule toughens up (faces Ravens & Bears in the playoffs).

Re: James Robinson
I'd absolutely cash for a first unless you need his production as a contender.kmbryant09 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 21, 2020 8:26 am So what's his current value right now?
I've certainly enjoyed his production to start the season, but thinking of cashing out on him now before his schedule toughens up (faces Ravens & Bears in the playoffs).
A random '21 1st? More? Less?
