Swift not being a between the tackles runner in the NFL was a big concern for me. This confirms it. A coach with his job on the line wouldn't do this. Swift will obviously get more carries, but that was my big concern with him. Didn't see him as an early down back, as much as a pass catcher.

Swift not being a between the tackles runner in the NFL was a big concern for me. This confirms it. A coach with his job on the line wouldn't do this. Swift will obviously get more carries, but that was my big concern with him. Didn't see him as an early down back, as much as a pass catcher.

This Joe Brady/Ruhl offense is not working out how I had hoped so far. I'm thinking Bridgewater has something to do with it.

This also makes me think back to the off season narrative that Matt Rhule doesnt like DJ Moore because Moore spurned him and chose a different college. Or something to that effect. Because without CMC out there, Moore is by far their best weapon and he isnt getting looks. Either its that silly narrative I posted just now, or its Rhule thinking hes the smartest guy in the room (scheme > players).

Moore got plenty of targets in weeks 1 and 2, though.

Not really. Not yet. I'm not ignoring any data that would suggest he's a good runner between the tackles. There's literally no evidence that I am ignoring to disprove my former take. There's nothing selective about it. Maybe he breaks out of it, and I will have to re-evaluate, but so far, nope.
