Breida wasn't drafted so its not like he is a former high value prospect. Have you even considered Breida maybe just isn't anything special either.....
Yep, I'm actually starting to think they both suck but they're simply rolling out the guy who sucks less.

I think this sprained MCL is the beginning of the end for this kid and if I owned any of him at all (I don't) I would consider selling even at the injured-discounted rate.

The main thing he had going for him is he was cast(falsely) as the teams most balanced back allowing him to play both passing and rushing downs. The truth is he's done nothing that Jordan Howard hasn't done or couldn't do in a full-time role. Sorry it's just true.

Howards atrocious ypc can be explained easily by down and distance and the fact that defenses knew exactly the reason he was out there. Now don't think I'm making this a pro Howard thread... It isn't I'm of the opinion that Gaskin and Howard are largely the same back, do yourself a favor and look back at Howard in a Gaskin like role.

Howard will have week 9 to show if there is anything left, I believe if he's kept himself right there's Gaskin level production(+) there. Breida should play but is nursing an injury? DeAndre Washington is ineligible to play week 9(Covid rules) but will debut week 10.

Matt Breida and DeAndre Washington(some passing down ability) are the best 1st and 2nd down backs now on the roster, if they can show out with Gaskin sidelined there is a good chance his opportunity evaporates.

Passing down backs Laird and Bowden have been mostly unused this season but would expect that to pick up if Breida becomes the guy.

While I do think this injury probably tanks his value, comparing him to Jordan Howard is downright silly imo. Gaskin is smaller and shiftier and can actually catch passes. Howard never caught 30 in a season. Gaskin had 30 Rec in 7 games.

I didn't compare size and Howard is a better runner in a full time roll. Howard edge in running, Gaskin edge in passing. And both a meh level of overall production.

He will likely be back and still be their primary back until the end of the year, but you are right. This injury happened at a brutal time, coming up on trade deadlines. He will probably hard to unload for any value, but that was the case even before the injury in my leagues.

DeAndre Washington is a sneaky deep league add. Matt Breida got hurt just thinking about getting more carries.

There is 0 chance Howard has a terrible game unless the Dolphins get blown out. If the run game doesn’t get going the Dolphins don’t stand a chance.

You think a 2022 2nd is too much of an over pay for him? I was about to pay it before the injury. The guy won’t let him go for less.

I can probably get him as some depth for one of my teams. I don’t need him but he could be a decent start late in the season/playoffs in case CEH/Elliot keep playing they have been lately or Sanders injury lingers.

I sold him for a '21 2nd a few weeks ago. I think thats about his value, at least before the injury. I wouldnt expect him to be significant next season. But if you feel like he's worth a 2nd for some depth for the playoffs this year, I don't think you'd be overpaying with a '22 2nd

X3 he'll likely be left out of the passing game because he's just not a good receiving back. So unless he has a TD I don't see him being good for fantasy

So you are either saying its going to be a shootout or a Cardinals blowout.

I dunno....the only path to victory for the Dolphins is if they get the run game going, control the clock, minimize TOs and continue playing solid defense. They don’t want a shootout with the Cardinals....we will see. Howard

15-20 carries
60-75 yards
TD

that’s my guess.

The carries and yards make sense. but that's the issue is if he doesn't get he TD it's not a good game, and there's a lotta ways he doesn't get the td. Whereas his upside in the passing game is one maybe two catches
