Re: Herbert Soars
Outside of the pick, Herbert looked pretty good IMO.
The offense (and fantasy skill players) are in much better shape with him at the helm.
Herbert has had them in position to win both games.

Re: Herbert Soars
Just watched the Chargers week 3 game to see how Herbert plays. I came away impressed.
Some clear rookie mistakes, but overall his big arm helps. He made some great throws w/out setting his feet or stepping forward, kind of like Jeff George used to. His pocket presence was average, some good & some bad. I like that he was decisive. He found his target quickly and pulled the trigger. I like that he knows Keenan Allen & Hunter Henry are his best targets. Going in I thought he'd like throwing to Mike Williams, but that sure didn't happen.
Overall I'm excited about the kid. Got him in a few leagues, not targeting him, but he was the best available in the late 2nd or early 3rd round.

Re: Herbert Soars
The 60 yard TD pass he threw yesterday was unreal. He stood in the pocket with massive pressure in his face and threw an absolute dime.

4th in YPA 8.7
7th in completion percentage at 72% only 3 are at or or above 73%

These numbers are fantastic for a rookie.
Burrow who also looks very good.

The clock is running and there are no timeouts

Add to the resume two 50+ yard TD passes yesterday alone. No other QB has more than one all season.
He also joins Cam as the only QB since 1970 with 900+ passing yards in his first 3 games.

Re: Herbert Soars
Those long bomb TDs were pretty sweet. Like you said, the one was without setting up his feet. He pretty much just used his shoulder alone to launch a nice arc and hit the guy in stride.Orenthal Shames wrote: ↑Mon Oct 05, 2020 7:32 amAgreeIce wrote: ↑Mon Oct 05, 2020 7:27 amNo doubt in my mind this kid is the real deal.Orenthal Shames wrote: ↑Mon Oct 05, 2020 7:13 amThe 60 yard TD pass he threw yesterday unreal. Poor Tyrod. But in the end, no1 loses their job to injury. They lose their job because the guy replacing them is better.

Re: Herbert Soars
Holy crap, the Chargers DIDN'T screw this one up after all! I fully expected them to, they're so good at it. Herbert looks a lot better than I thought out there, even if they aren't winning. Too many injuries for that team to win much this year, but their young QB definitely does not suck. Stoked I just traded for Keenan Allen this AM before the announcement - feels even better now baby!

He's looked good so far. I want to see what happens through the back half of the year, once teams have some tape on him. He has looked better than I expected. Will be interesting to see if he can keep it up.Orenthal Shames wrote: ↑Thu Oct 08, 2020 2:21 pmAgreeDLF3000 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 08, 2020 2:18 pmHoly crap, the Chargers DIDN'T screw this one up after all! Re: Herbert Soars
I only own him in one league and it was a total tilt pick. Thought for sure I was gonna get Tua at the end of the 2nd, but the guy who picked right before me (who already owns Lamar Jackson and Brees, ferchrissakes) sniped me. I took Herbert and immediately started feeling buyer’s remorse, but I’m definitely liking what I’ve seen so far. That said, I think I like him even more in the league where I own Keenan than the league where I actually own him. Haha.

They going to count that one to Williams where nobody covered him?
