Ryan Pace is the worst GM in the league. Please tell me otherwise.

Horrible draft selections:
  • In 2017 the gave up an insane amount to move up one slot to draft Trubisky and then proceeded to draft Shaheen in the 2nd round.
Terrible QB deals
  • Mike Glennon - 3 Years $45 million
  • Nick Foles - 3 Years $24 million
Horrible TEs
  • Had worst TE group last season
  • Rostered like 8 TEs
  • Spent 2nd round pick on TE when they could've drafted Kmet in later rounds
  • Jimmy Graham - 2 Years $16 million
Just extended Cohen but not Robinson
Can't figure out a kicker

This man really thought it was a good idea to pay a ton of money for a backup QB (Foles) and 33 year old TE rather than extend a top 10 WR!?! Why didn't they just pay up for a top QB in free agency. If they decide to resign Trubisky I will be incredibly salty.

Every single week more news comes out on why Pace is hot trash. I can't see how any Bears player will be productive in FF while Pace is in charge. It's beyond me how they haven't been below .500 the past two years and made the playoffs in 2018. (Most likely because of their defense)

Nah he's not, but that's only because Bill O'Brien exists.

Not commenting on Pace in general, but Cohen's full 3-year extension is probably what ARob is trying to get per year. I don't think that qualifies at all.

As a Packers fan I'm happy with Pace. Realistically he has to be on the thinnest of ice though and should lose his job after this season.

but ARob for 1 season is more valuable than Cohen for 3

I agree that Pace is terrible, but those QB deals aren't terrible. QBs, even average ones, get paid a lot. When you don't have an elite QB, you have to take chances. Those contracts were very short, so they could move on from them if/when they don't pan out.

Drafting Trubisky is the biggest error. And paying extra to ensure you get Trubisky was just asinine.

That Glennon deal was pretty awful, especially in light of the plan to draft Trubisky at all costs. Glennon hadn’t done anything and wasn’t worth what he was paid. The Foles contract should only highlight that given that it was $21 million cheaper over the same time frame to effectively do the same thing... but Foles was and is miles ahead of Glennon.

I’m surprised you didn’t bring up Kevin White on the draft front..

I'm a Bears fan and I hated the hiring from the start. As bad as he has been, he's not the worst. He built a defense that was elite for a year or two and the team went 12-4. He finds solid defensive talent in the middle rounds of drafts. He also wasn't the only gm who wanted his hands on Tribs. It also doeant help that Nagy sucks. Its a giant circle jerk of suck

I didn't add him to the list because he was plagued with injuries. We truly don't know how he would have panned out.
