Over 50% as he has a chance to lead the Steelers backfield all year.

Malcom Brown for a Cam Akers owner

Russell Gage I was looking at those guys.
Everyone freaked out about Brown after week 1 last year too. It didn't amount to anything, same will happen this year. If you can get him free go for it, but there are better uses for your FAAB either right now or later in the year.
Gurleys a bit better than Akers/Henderson though

Most of my leagues are 12tm 28 man roster with IR slots. If you don't use it early you almost always get stuck with it. I never blow it all week 1, but I almost always get my best waiver pickup of the year early on, as players tend to get scooped up as soon as they hit an active roster.
x2. The deeper the league the thinner the waivers. The early scoops always seem to pan out the best.

Snell would definitely be one of my top choices, along with N.Hines too. The offensive line is so good and with all of those pieces in Pittsburgh, I’m expecting big numbers out of whatever RB that starts and it seems like Conner isn’t going to be able to shake the injuries. Even with Conner there, Snell will still get some work, so he’s not totally useless anyway.

Gaskin or Cephus?

I'd go Cephus over Gaskin for sure. Way better long term prospect at this point.

I don't think Cephus is anything special so I'd take Gaskin in the hope I could sell him to a contender in need of RB depth this year.

Cephus for me. Gaskin is a short term option at best. The upside and is there for breakout potential that I just don't see in Gaskin. Cephus is an injury from meaning time in a high volume offense. In his first game (replacing golladay) he registered 79% of the snaps.

Bronco Billy wrote: Tue Sep 15, 2020 10:23 am Man, I would warn people off Malcolm Brown if they’ll listen. This isn’t the first time his name has risen. He was an impending FA a couple of years ago and I got caught up in the hype and he did nothing but cost me a roster spot and the FA $$$ I spent on him. Then came the Gurley knee issue and Brown proponents were sure he was good enough to take on workload, plus the Rams resigned him (no one else offered). Turned out through some research that the Rams coaches love him because he’s a ST stud. Now here we are yet again. I’d be hard pressed to believe that he’s suddenly good enough to hold off both Akers and Henderson. Either one of those guys, or both, could easily have an epiphany and displace Brown, who on his best days is a mediocre runner.

I hope I’m wrong this time like I was the first time on him but I fear that I’m not. It’s not like he hasn’t had opportunity .
This is going to end up just like the Robinson thread, but I almost always pick up waiver wire players with the intention to flip them. I'm not looking for or expecting long term assets. Brown is another good case of a guy that could build trade value quickly. One or two more weeks of holding off Akers and he's easily worth a 3rd or possibly even a 2nd. That's a quick win. If it doesn't happen, oh well, that means he turned out like the other 90% of waivers throughout the year.
What leagues do you play in where this behavior is consistently rewarded? If I noticed this behavior I wouldn’t trade you a dime. :wtf:

All jokes aside I actually dug this thread fromYEARS AGO viewtopic.php?f=16&t=7568&p=127556&hili ... wn#p127556 under my old account. My stepbrother actually played with Malcolm in high school (was Malcolms backup RB) and he was always really talented. A man among boys for sure. I’m not sure why it’s taken Malcolm so long to be productive, but I wouldn’t sleep on him too hard - personally. Dude is a beast. I’m rooting for him.

The correct answer is Jordan Reed this week.

For Gaskin owners, what kind of return would you be trying to flip him for over the next few weeks?

Cephus vs Gaskin-depends on the league. If it's the type I can flip depth pieces to contenders, I'd go Gaskin. Outside of that, Cephus.

Other options- Josh Adams, Sanu (opportunity and system familiarity), Jordan Reed (same), Drnell Mooney, Demarcus Robinson, Adrian Peterson, Harrison Bryant (TC hype and Njoku IR), Antonio Gandy Golden, Greg Ward/JJAW.
