Just before the news of Robinson being the starter I made this move:

12 team league (SF)

2022 first
2 x 2021 3rds

Receive:
Minshew
Robinson

Some might find a first in SF high for minshew, but my team is a possible contender with no depth at QB (Mahomes/Brady before the deal) and a few rbs like Conner/Ekeler etc that have their own set of issues.

Figured I'd take the shot at mustache man sticking around and maybe getting a decent flex rb for a bit in Robinson.

I like Minshew a lot. Hes on all of my sf teams except two I believe. A cheap potential qb1 this year in standard leagues

Team 1 in sig:

Gave: Jameis Winston, 2021 1st (1.09-12)
Received: Baker Mayfield, 2021 2nd (2.03-2.05)

I am one of the highest Baker AND Jameis fans, so it was tough to part with one. I am the league favorite, so hopefully the gap in picks will be as small as possible. I do hope Jameis lands on his feet. If it's with Payton in New Orleans, this could look bad a year from now if Baker continues to be pedestrian. I definitely believe in Baker and hope he turns it around this year.

Do you expect Baker to be a solid fantasy starter this year?

In Superflex, yeah I think he will be a mid QB2 with upside. I expect him to platoon in my lineup, but I like his long term prospects as well. They are much safer then Winston in my opinion.

Wow. Not sure I would have pulled the trigger on that one. There is a chance winston is the qb in NO next year and baker fighting off a rookie or legitimate vet. Add that you already had bridgewater and giving up a first, I think you really need to hope that mayfield turns it around

Chance vs Expectation

This is a great buy low unless Mayfield sucks so much bleep that he's in Trubisky territory next season (which I suppose is possible)

I certainly get that Winston could be more valuable, as his value can only go up with hype. But it's not a certainty that he gets the New Orleans job or another job for that matter. And then if he gets a chance, it's not certain he will retain that position long.

Mayfield has probably 2 more years of rope, even if he's bad.

Also, I am likely only moving back 4-5 spots. The teams are pretty clearly top and bottom, so moving back 4-5 spots next year was worth getting a safer asset in my opinion.

That's a steal for Baker in SF. We're talking about a half round difference in a strange looking draft to go from a backup QB to a starter
