Dropping an asset like Vaughn is poor management. Someone would give a pick or a player for him. I would look at rookies that may have gone after him in the draft and maybe try to swap for one of them. I dont have much hope in him anyway, so I would be looking to buy a guy who has hope but costs little. Damien Harris now that he is hurt, Darrel Henderson, Michael Gallup, Christian kirk. Maybe use Vaughn + to get Boyd, whom I think is a great buy right now. Boyd will never be a true wr1, but he can easily be the number 2 with a qb who has a huge ceiling
Uh, yeah, you'd have to add A LOT to Vaughn to even make me think about moving Boyd for him. Like a 1st round pick. And even then I would pass

It's probably too early to drop him, but I think his chances at relevance are pretty slim frankly. That's partially because I don't really believe in him, though. If you're a believer, it's a year or two too early to look at dropping.

Maybe you people should stop comparing it to what you and only you would accept for a player. You value Boyd higher than a lot of people out there then. I love Boyd too, but I also got him for reasonable prices this year. I also got him later in startups.

Oh and there is someone on the team advice page that said he just traded vaughn away for darrel henderson

What? You think you can flip Vaughn for Gallup or Kirk? I don’t even think the Henderson or Harris owners would take you seriously. You would have to add something to get any of these players.

I am not sure any non Vaughn owner would place any value on him at all right now. Your only option last are to hold or feel better about trading him by adding him as a total throw in to a deal if someone is willing to use the roster spot on him.
Probably have to add a piece yes, but those are some lower priced receivers where receiver is more abundant than ever. Maybe a team is loaded at receiver and likes vaughn as a buy and hold. I have a league where I have more young receiver depth than I know what to do with and would trade one for a young back with potential

And you can see the deals people get away with on here. Everyone values players differently
Only people that reached for Vaughn, or drafted Vaughn for that matter, saw him as an asset. NOBODY is going to trade anything for him

He was the easiest fade in recent memory at his ADP during our rookie draft back in early May.

He’s a hold

If I recall, he was put on Covid IR almost immediately and missed a large portion of camp. ANY rookie would have struggled being that far behind.

Ok so only one person per league is allowed to like Vaughn. Got it

Mims is another target. He has faded a little in value since he was drafted

Even from someone who's been fading Vaughn hard since the draft, this thread is silly. Of course you don't drop a guy in dynasty just because his situation isn't good at this specific moment. The exception would be extremely shallow leagues.

I’m one of the idiots who spent a late 1st on him (1.09). Of course I’d love to have a mulligan on that one, but I’m certainly not gonna drop him before he’s even played a snap of pro football. Our rosters are relatively shallow (20 players, no taxi), but if you invested a late 1st/early 2nd on him, you probably owe it to yourself to at least ride it out through this season and next offseason at the least.

I drafted him because I believed he’s a more talented and complete back than RoJo, and I still do. Between the missed Covid time and the Lenny signing, his value has obviously taken a huge hit, but it’s not THAT hard to concoct a narrative where he becomes fantasy relevant as soon as this year. All it would take is an injury to Fournette (hardly a stretch) and him surpassing RoJo on the depth chart (even less of a stretch).

Obviously this isn’t what any Vaughn drafters were hoping for, but in the eloquent words of the president of the United States, it is what it is. You’ve just gotta hold and pray.
All are 12-team 1QB PPR dynasties

Nothing has changed. This guy was a late 2nd rd pick in rookie drafts and would probably still be in that range today. I think some of you are forgetting a few things.

1. Fournette is not very good at football
2. Tom Brady is the QB. All tom cares about is if he trusts you or not. He could care less of your draft pedigree or natural talent. If you cant be where you're supposed to be when you're supposed to be youre not going to be very involved in his offense. Fournette hasn't shown hes willing to put in the effort to live up to toms standards, at least he didn't in Jacksonville. Not to mention Fournette has all of what 1 week to learn the system?

This is a committe backfield. If this kid vaughn can throw a block, learn the playbook and earn toms trust he'll see playing time. If Arians is smart anyway and listens to his 6 time super bowl winning QB

If you must sell sell to Fournette owner otherwise hold if ya can. I would take about anything for him if I had drafted him but i had him as a 3rd rnd talent to start.

Please understand I have Evans AND Godwin on my teams, but : Tom is also old AF. There is no guarantee he won't fall off, or already has, as some have said already. The cliff will come, and steeply, it happens to everyone who keep walking to that undeniable reality of the cliff. None of us know when that will happen. It could be week 1 when his tackle misses a block, and he gets blindsided. Not saying it's going to happen, but the possible reality is very real, and then we are talking about Gabbert or Griffiin.

The bolded above is the only factual statement.

Vaughn's ADP rose all the way to the first round in the early offseason and he surely would not be a second round pick today.

As someone that's dumped on Vaughn all offseason hes still a hold.

I tried telling people to not invest a first round pick on Vaughn but they wouldn't listen!

I wrote about it extensively here in my "Talent vs Landing spot" article ⏬
