Wow, I'm not totally surprised Fournette went unclaimed through waivers, but I am a bit surprised he hasn't signed yet, another day later. Hmmm...

Not sure what the hold up is. It seems that a few teams may be interested. I keep hearing one thing and then another...Patriots are interested, now they are not. Same with Chicago. This suspense is getting out of control.

Fournette think he's better than the NFL is willing to pay him right now.

Give it some time... but it's possible he doesn't sign until a team has an injury at RB this year.

If they felt like Fournette would have been an upgrade or good fit, they could have easily traded a 7th rounder in the draft, and taken literally any other position in round 1. Or they could have taken a better (and cheaper) version of Fournette in Taylor instead of CEH. If they took a RB in round 1 when they could have had Fournette for a 7th, I just don't see why anybody that invested a high draft pick in a RB would be that interested barring injury.

I would love to see the Ravens add him and run the wing T. Just fully embrace it and line up Dobbins, Ingram, and Fournette all in the same backfield at the same time with Lamar. Would be utterly insane to watch.

They'd have to pay him 4 million this year if that were the case, and their cap situation is incredibly murky. KC doesn't give a bleep about character if they believe the player will help them win: Tyreek Hill, Frank Clark. Leonard Fournette is a massive upgrade over Darrell Williams, how he compares to CEH remains to be seen.

edit: I also don't see why a team wouldn't be interested in improving their team for the right price, regardless of if they dropped a 1st round pick on a RB or not.

Same reason teams aren't signing AB. Poison in the locker room. Sometimes the price tag just isn't worth the problems that come with it.

AB wasn't signed because every team had no idea how long he would be suspended. now they know and when he's allowed to come back a team will sign him up.

He's likely not getting the money he wants and is waiting for someone to offer more. It's not that he's bad, but teams know that this close to the season he has no leverage. If someone gets injured maybe that changes.

As an owner I'm really hoping it's not New England, but it just seems too obvious for it to not happen. Doesn't help that the fantasy gods hate me. Sorry in advance LF owners.

I heard somewhere that he might be willing to sit out the year if he doesn’t get a deal he likes. But as I said on page six of this thread, I think if he signs somewhere it will be the Chiefs.

For fantasy sakes I hope he does not elect to sit out. It's not easy coming back a year removed...although, if he were to do this, this season would be the most ideal time with COVID lingering LOL
