In dynasty, value of a player stems partially from their current production but also their future value. Gibson is getting a little bit more volume currently, but also plays on a terrible team and has an absolute ton to learn. Moss, on the other hand, is on one of the better teams in the league that will often be in positive game scripts and have scoring opportunities. Sure, he's RBBC with Singletary NOW. That doesn't mean Singletary won't get hurt or that Moss can't win the job outright at some point. Both have decent potential. Both have similar draft pedigree. Both have a path to workload. Gibson has better athleticism. Moss has better experience. Moss has a significantly better team and organization.

Why would anyone pay a ton on top of Moss to get Gibson other than pure speculation?
You said it before I could. Good post.

If I had the choice in a startup, I'm taking Gibson ahead of Moss just as a shot on perceived upside, but if I owned Moss and wanted Gibson, I couldn't imagine adding anything significant to Moss, and I fully realize that wouldn't get the attention of someone who has Gibson.

Through 3 games, we haven't really seen anything from either player.

This rocket ship will take off once they jettison the worst QB in the NFL. Haskins is like watching a slow motion train wreck over and over and over again.

Kyle Allen will probably get first crack since he knows the offense. He will be an in game sub any day now much like Foles was in Chicago yesterday is my guess.

Allen is very bad himself.

And this is why they should have drafted Tua.

And Alex Smith has been around the organization and is a seasoned veteran. I wouldn't expect any limitations due to a lack of familiarity with the team/system. The reality is that decision likely hinges on his ability to perform post injury.

Point remains that there is likely no solution that makes WAS's RB friendly in 2020.

So, does the team formerly known as the redskins lose enough to take lawrence/fields and bail on Haskins already ?

Teams always wait a year too long to give up on their QBs. Either they've got it or they don't. Cardinals are the only team I can think of recently that have bucked that trend. At the time there were questions about whether taking Kyler over Rosen was the right move. Obviously a no-brainer now.

WAS should've taken Tua
NYG should've taken Tua
CLE should've considered free agent (Cam) or a rookie to compete
NYJ should've considered free agent (Cam) or a rookie to compete
JAX probably also should've considered free agent (Cam) or a rookie to compete

Agreed. Nothing slows down a rebuild more than investing too much time in middling or worse QB play. I feel bad for Daniel Jones and Darnold though. Not that they have been excellent but their franchises haven't given them a chance to succeed. Same could be said of Rosen too.

At this point he is doing all we can ask for of a raw rookie that many did not have on their radar until August. I like his future and the pure fact he doesnt look horrible at all in this horrific offense should give everyone some hope. No reason at all to trade him and he is a strong hold imo. Big plays will come people just need patience.

DWAYNE HASKINS
QB, WASHINGTON FOOTBALL TEAM

Washington head coach Ron Rivera said "there is a cutoff point for me" in waiting for QB Dwayne Haskins to improve.

Rivera reportedly said the Football Team's offensive players "deserve better" from the quarterback. It's a stinging critique of Haskins after his disastrous Week 3 performance against the Browns in which he completed 21-of-37 passes for 224 yards, two touchdowns, and three interceptions. Outside of the team's scripted plays to start the game, Haskins appears lost, often locking in on one receiver and forcing the ball into tight coverage. Kyle Allen is listed as Haskins' backup. Alex Smith has been inactive for the first three weeks of the season. Allen coming in as the team's starting QB couldn't be worse for their pass catchers than Haskins has been.

Cam wanted to go somewhere he could compete, though...

The Cam thing will never not be funny. The list is a lot longer than that; the whole league gets what they deserve for shunning that guy and letting him fall into the waiting arms of Supreme Emperor of the Sith, Darth Belichick.

If you can't bring another QB in because you think it will "destabilise your starter" due to the team locker room just wanting the best chance to win, then you're politicking too hard and intentionally tying your own hand behind your back.

It won't be Lawrence; I can't see them beating out the Jets and probably the Giants at this stage.
