That said, he’s got the 2nd half of the season as a tryout to be their #1 option going forward.
Having another player to take away coverage would be a great thing. We've seen good WR duos succeed Evans/Godwin, Ridley/Julio, Woods/Kupp, Anderson/Moore, etc. Whether he's the #1 or #2 isn't really important right now. He just has to show he can play, even though it's going to be tough in this offense.

2 targets and looked good in the first and then what, one target the rest of the way? beyond annoying

Same as last week. Promising first halves, then duds. Maybe scripted plays working early but then bad playcalling once they start calling plays on the fly? Whatever it is, I like the flashes, and hope he gets a new coach sooner than later.

Be patient - KC in particular; Darnold was 18/30 for 133 yards. No time to throw evidenced by Berrios 11 tgts 8/38 stat line.

So, an average game for Darnold

This will be the week he gets his first TD and we see more than 3 targets for him. I think the Jets in the very least will try and beat the Patriots. The Pats are so bad RN that the jets can do it too.

Patriots really aren't that bad... they're 1 play away from beating both the Seahawks and the Bills. Certainly possible for them to lose.. but they're nowhere near as bad as the Jets on the average sunday.

Meh, the pats are pretty bad for a pats team. They still have a great coach, so shouldn't have much trouble with a very poorly run jets team. If the jets are going to sneak in a win this year, i could see it being the against the pats.

Hard not to be impressed so far. He looks and plays the part so far. Looks good in his routes, good after the catch ability, can get downfield, nice catch radius. There's a lot to like.

yes agree. Flacco had glimpses of a decent QB throwing to Mims along with a bunch of "other". Even with that mixed bag of QB play, Mims definitely looks like he could grow into a stout WR. Only 3 games into his NFL career. He could be something by year's end. Biggest risk is, well... the freaking Jets!

Looks a bit better than I thought he would at this point

Such a raw talent. He has some DK to his game.
