Mostert Requests Trade From 49ers

Per Schefter, his agent said the team is not adjusting his deal that pays him for Special Teams and he wants out.

Not sure what this means for the 49ers backs this season if Mostert is moved. Coleman isn't that good, McKinnon has been plagued by injuries and they traded Breida.

Ugh. This kills Mosterts value if hes moved. I was counting on him as a backup in 2020.

Edit: Not sure how much he is looking for, but he shouldn't be played as a special teams player anymore. If I was San Fran I would rather keep Mostert over McCoy or Freeman if the money's the same.

I can't see mostert having any significant value on the trade market especially with the current prospect of a shortened or cancelled season. If he's gone SF still has plenty of rbs and won't need to bring one in. I doubt Freeman goes unless he drops his contract demands. McCoy maybe depending on his contract demands. I'd rather see how ahmand does. They still have Wilson too.

He doesn't have any leverage. The Niners have Coleman -- who they leaned on a lot towards the end of the season -- and McKinnon. Josh Wilson is no scrub.

I don't know what will happen but the demand of a trade isn't making the Niners brass shake in their boots even a little.
