A unique deal for a unique player. I'm sure others will eventually get deals like this but they will be few and far between.

Interested to see if he gets a raise the final 2 years of his rookie deal. As a Raiders fan, I hope so. The sooner he makes an astronomical salary, the sooner other teams can compete vs them.

I'll be surprised if his guarantees are above 150-200m, just because you never know what could happen in 6 yrs.

I'm also inclined to guess it's 10 years, $300m, fully guaranteed.

No idea what we'll see here.

I'd imagine his agent left room for him to renegotiate at some point.

Agreed he is a unique player, but now it sets an actual bar for people to see. Now when others see that bar they always want to go over it. No one at this current time is likely to even come close to that bar, but eventually someone will surpass it. Then we have the next up and it just keeps building the snowball effect. Mahomes (and others) deserve those bigger pieces of the pie for sure and I'm happy they're getting paid.

Sweet deal for the Chiefs? I'd say for Mahomes. This type of deal will definitely make it more difficult for them to compete. That's a lot of money tied up in the QB. Obviously they had little choice, but winning a SB will be a lot more difficult for them moving forward.
