I moved on last year because I saw the bust writing on the wall.

Plus, it's the Browns. What was I thinking drafting Browns? Sigh.

Shut up, Baker! I know, I know. ;)

I'm not a fan of production without efficiency, and given how bereft of receivers the Browns were that year (at one point they were down to starting their 5th string WRs and had to utilize Duke Johnson at WR) his production was pretty bad for a 2nd year player.

I... guess. Not doing cartwheels over Njoku, I always liked the other first-rounders in that class more, but that Year 2 production for a TE that was acknowledged to be very raw and young coming out of college is encouraging, if anything, in my eyes. Maybe I'm old fashioned, I still look at TEs with a 5-year window and WRs with three years.

You think they'd move him in the division?
Why not? Get a premium pick and hes a FA anyway. Plus, he hasn't even done that much yet.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think teams are going to trade a premium pick for him at this point. I'm thinking something along the lines of a day 3 pick

The Browns picked-up his 5th year option. Pretty sure he won't be a FA until 2022.

Guaranteed for injury only. It's a manageable salary though at a hair over $6M.

Hilarious, Njoku is basically in TE purgatory for a few more years on one of the worst franchises ever. And after last year's debacle, no one's going to offer anywhere near a premium pick for him. Hope you truthers have a lot of patience!

By premium they mean 4th round pick.

Maybe a 6th tossed in addition to that if the Browns are lucky

That said: I don't think Njoku is a lost cause yet

Just because we saw Atlanta trade a premium pick for Hurst doesn't mean that will be the rate for Njoku. The Falcons typically value TE more than most teams in the league, and had a need.

Cleveland doesn't seem to be in any rush to move him either. They seem to be set on ruining this guy's life for so.e reason. I still believe in his talent, but this is what I get for drafting a Brown.

Stefanski did use Rudolph and Irv Smith about equally last year... it just wasn’t very much.

A little dramatic? Let me get this straight. The Browns drafted Njoku in the 1st round and were doing that to ruin his life? I think you need to step back a little bit and forget that you have him on your team.

In fairness, have you looked at the success rate of Browns’ first round picks?

A team that doesn't draft well is completely different than ruining someones life.
There are many factors to players not having success.
