What kind of production were you expecting from the caliber of number one receiver’s they’ve had in SF since Shanahan showed up? They made Marquise Goodwin relevant for a year.MFundercover wrote: ↑Thu Jun 18, 2020 3:32 pmI agree. He's a solid player but I dont think he had a very high ceiling for this reason.

Don't underestimate Kendrick Bourne. He has been dependable in spots where Pettis hasn't plus Jimmy G seems to look towards Bourne in red area when Kittle is not open.ericanadian wrote: ↑Thu Jun 18, 2020 12:26 pmThey’re forecasting 3-4 months, so he’s almost a certainty for the PUP. Not sure Aiyuk is the immediate beneficiary. Could be Pettis for a short term gain.

Re: Deebo Samuel Broken Foot
Even with the variance he always seemed to find either the end zone or an 100 yd game after taking over a prominent role. Given his home run ability on any given touch, even out of the backfield, I had pretty high hopes for him this season. In fact, I banked on it. Oh well, next man up.

Take another hit, there is no way. It's going to be a sh!t show....
With that said I did draft Auiyk and glad to have him. I am over Bourne at this point, but Hurd will get his shot imo.

Re: Deebo Samuel Broken Foot
I want him to be right so badly, but I think it's doubtful, and if it does, it won't finish in all likelihood. Too many states re opened too quickly and people starting hitting the bars, streets and beaches like nothing had ever happened. The damage is done now, the real chance at curbing the spread of this has most likely been lost, it may be all for naught in other countries who are doing far better by taking it slower, too, but right now, it looks far better elsewhere.
Bourne isn't relevant IMO, at least in a dynasty context. If I could move up 1 spot in the 2nd I'd gladly move him, if I hadn't drafted yet.

The deebo injury is a 3 to 4 month recovery. If the season doesn't start anyway, what is the extra benefit in having Ayuik?

Interestingly this is the injury that derailed Taylor’s 2019.

Its clear to me that kittle is the beneficiary here. Hes the only receiver on that team who i would want in my starting lineup for 2020.

Re: Deebo Samuel Broken Foot
I think Taylor was manning the slot either way. Bourne is probably still manning the z receiver role as well, though maybe he has less competition from Aiyuk now? Pettis was likely on his way to being cut. Maybe now he gets a reprieve of at least a month or so.
One guy no one’s mentioned who might surprise is Travis Benjamin. He’s been kind of pushed into a slot role lately, but he’s familiar with Shanahan’s offense and has had success playing outside in the past. He even had that one big season as the lead receiver in Cleveland. Having him fill in for Deebo would also offer the minimal disruption to their long term plans if they want Aiyuk at the z receiver spot to replace Bourne. Might be a free pickup that pays off for at least the first few games and if Deebo struggles in his recovery, there could be some real upside here.
