Etienne received a 2nd round grade, probably the same grade the top 5 backs in this class got. He just didn't think that was high enough to skip h is last year of college over, which is his decision to make. From a f I nancial standpoint, sure it isn't great, but there are other things in life to consider, especially when you are likely to be financially well off anyway. I had Etienne as my RB2 in the previous class before he stayed in school but anywhere for rb1 for rb4 wasnt unheard of. If you just look at it as rbs who stay until their senior years tend to be worse, yes, i agree with that but looking at the actual situation I dont knock him down at all for returning.

What is the deal with Spring Football and the NFL draft process? How is this going to work, with the timing?

In Dynasty, it works against him, and his value, to a degree, because you are losing a year of a RB's prime production years. No other way to slice it. You'd always prefer them to leave at 21, as opposed to 22, if they were able to produce right away in the NFL.

LSU WR Terrace Marshall Jr making a name for himself and might be making a case to be a 1st round pick.

6'3 200 with speed and 21/424/7 in just 3 games, including 11/235/3 this past week vs Mizzou. Someone to keep an eye on for sure.

If the Jets end up with the first overall pick, I'm not ruling out the possibility Lawrence pulls an Elway/Eli. That organization is a mess, and Trevor is the type of prospect that could pull it off.

Or a Peyton Manning and just stay in school. Clemson does have a history of retaining top prospects for their Senior year when they could be 1st round or high draft picks after their Junior year, Etienne this year and their D-line 2 years ago were all top prospects and would have gone high but elected to return. I don't think that's the route he takes, and he has already said he graduates in December and he plans on this being his last year, but I wouldn't rule it out especially if they lost in the National Championship or something.

Love what I'm seeing from him. He was kind of overlooked last year because of Jefferson, Chase, and Edwards-Helaire. He went 46/671/13 as a sophomore.

So far, he looks like the real deal and doesn't have Chase or Jefferson taking away coverage. Plus, he's showing a good nose for the endzone. 20 TDs in his last 15 games.

My first stab at a Top 12:

1. Ja'Marr Chase
2. Rondale Moore
3. Travis Etienne
4. Rashod Bateman
5. Jaylen Waddle
6. Najee Harris
7. Kyle Pitts
8. DeVonta Smith
9. Terrace Marshall Jr.
10. Kenny Gainwell
11. Trevor Lawrence
12. Chubba Hubbard

I believe he was highly rated coming out of HS. Just happened to be on the field with Chase and Jefferson.

Ya, didn't look at how all the recruiting services had him ranked, but 24/7 Sports ranked him 13th overall and #3 WR in the 2018 recruiting class. His teammate Ja'marr Chase was their #15 WR in the same class.

What's going on with Chase that he's not taking away any coverage this year? Might have to start looking into this Marshall guy, this is why I frequent this forum.

Chase isn't playing. Opted out. He's working out for the combine and the pros.

Damn, I probably did hear that and forgot, just glad it wasn't some injury or along those lines as I really liked him last year.

He's the only player in this class I really like. Guys like Rondale are rated way too high for me. I do like Etienne, but at WR, Chase is the only guy I'd be willing to pay an early first for. I'd trade out at the early first price for any other WR.

I kind of sifted through the thread and didn't see much on him, but can anyone give me more insight on Fields? What sets him apart from his predecessors? Haskins, Barrett, Miller, Pryor, Troy Smith...are they all a product of flashy system that run up the score with their athleticism? What makes Fields different and worth the praise? And is it just shiny objects and smoke?
