It'd be interesting if you could see the number of people who have friended/foed someone. Probably wouldn't be good to see the specific users who did. Wonder if foe-ing blocks a PM.Dynasty DeLorean wrote: ↑Mon Feb 01, 2021 3:20 pmYes. Interesting distinction. What does it mean, to you? Is a smasher someone who runs into would be tacklers? How would a power back approach a would be tackler differently?Sriracha wrote: ↑Wed Feb 03, 2021 7:28 pm 5'10 220 vs 5'10 217
Both of these guys are fast for their size, which one's faster? Maybe Javonte, maybe Jermrar but in any case I don't expect it to be a huge advantage for either.
Jermar's got that true freshman breakout where he caught 25 balls (which is pretty impressive). Both of these guys could possibly be 3 down backs, I wouldn't say either has a clear advantage in this area at this point in time.
Javonte and him both break a ton of tackles and display good contact balance. I like Javonte a little more in this area, but it could just be a difference in run styles. Javonte runs more like a power back, Jermar a slasher.
Playing with Sam Howell at UNC is also very different from playing at Oregon St. so I'm not going to bother comparing YPC, TDs between them lol.
We'll see if he ends up with higher draft capital. I somewhat lean Javonte but at this point I don't see him so much better he deserves a different tier. Maybe some impressive pro day numbers or vastly divergent draft capital will change that, though

Re: Who is your "guy" for this upcoming rookie class?
Maybe. What matters more to me is at what weight they run it at and their explosiveness too, but if he is in fact significantly faster I like it because it adds one more legitimate prospect to the RB pool. I won’t be fully on the Javonte Williams train until he test well He’s a Tier 3 prospect for at this point for meKingsKing wrote: ↑Thu Feb 04, 2021 7:26 pmI'm 99% sure Williams will run much faster than Harris will . I may or may not be related to Bryan Edwards
Re: Who is your "guy" for this upcoming rookie class?
I think both are great prospects , Harris is my rb1 and Williams is closing in on my rb2. Williams has prototypical size , his speed is underrated and his agility and lateral movement are all plus too. He breaks more tackles than any rb in the class and has good pass catching chops . I would be very happy to land either prospects.alewilliam789 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 04, 2021 7:43 pmMaybe. Re: Who is your "guy" for this upcoming rookie class?
Both of these guys have multi-faceted games, so it's not to say that Javonte can't glance past defenders or that Jermar can't run people over or power through a pile. It's more about their tendencies; Javonte will try to break a lot of tackles by inviting contact; Jermar has a tendency to "get skinny" or change direction and glance past arm tackles after the defender is out of position. Both of them have some nifty moves and are capable of being finesse runners as well.Pullo Vision wrote: ↑Thu Feb 04, 2021 7:32 pmInteresting distinction. What does it mean, to you? I’m not sure I’ve seen Harris blow by too much tbh lol plough through maybealewilliam789 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 04, 2021 6:45 pm I’m not seeing the Javonte Williams hype. I’m not really sure what quantifiable athletic measurable Najee is going to test high percentile in. Vertical maybe, bench press? It definitely won’t be speed score.
If Harris is going to be successful it’s in the vein of a high volume plodder like Montgomery, it’s all about landing spot for him IMO.

kind of depends on how pro days end up working out this year, but otherwise draft cap will be my biggest indicator.wickerkat1212 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 04, 2021 10:28 pm So without combines, what are you guys going to be watching? Old tape? Pro days? Going by draft capital?

I saw the one game highlights, but does he have the tape to support his sudden love?
I am just a guy sharing some thoughts

Re: Who is your "guy" for this upcoming rookie class?
He was always supposed to be something big at Oklahoma, but never really shined. Low carries and tread so could be looked at as a Jacobs hype. He has the prototype metrics, but I want to see his drill times. I think he has a good head on his shoulders, but if he's slow I'm not buying.

Re: Who is your "guy" for this upcoming rookie class?
I usually evaluate prospects using their cumulative college tape and production. I've liked him for more than just the one game.
I can admit the RB class being very underwhelming has contributed somewhat to my likeness for him but he's a good player.

Re: Who is your "guy" for this upcoming rookie class?
Honestly he looks like he is stuck in the mud to me. He weighed in a lot lighter at the Senior Bowl than I would have thought so will be interesting to see his times.
Kylie Hill is better.
Re: Who is your "guy" for this upcoming rookie class?
Trey Lance, Rashod Bateman, and Kenneth Gainwell are my guys thus far at this early stage of scouting that I'm most interested in. I've got 2.03 and 2.04 as my first picks in my main SF league, so I'm highly intrigued in the value guys that may fall with potentially 4-5 QB's going in the 1st round in SF.
Of those 3 names, the one I'm most impressed by is Bateman. He definitely seems to have it.
