Personally I'm higher on Vaughn... Don't think Arians spends the draft capital if they are confident in Rojo. But I've also been low on Rojo from the start.

I also own RoJo and think he will get more of an opportunity this year. I think he did loads better then his rookie year (it wouldn't take much lol) and maybe coming into his own. Plus, With Brady at QB and the weapons around him, I feel RoJo could put up a great season. Vaughn was drafted but will Arians trust the rookie early on picking up blitzes for Brady. I feel RoJo has a chance early in the season to establish himself as a runner, receiver, and blocker for Brady. If he takes advantage, I think it would be hard for Vaughn to make a dent into his workload this year. But that's my hope......We'll see if RoJo can take advantage of his opportunity.

I've sold RoJo where I can, but dont agree on discounting him entirely. He is a year younger than Vaughn and has NFL experience(even if it's bad experience). His biggest knock is his garbage pass pro. At the same time Vaughn isn't a top prospect, and may not up to game speed at the NFL level. I view them similar value.

I tend to think Vaughn is a better RB. He produced on a garbage Vanderbilt team for years in the SEC against loaded boxes and was used more in the passing game than Jones was as a prospect. Neither are ideal long-term backs, but I think Vaughn will secure the job by the end of the season.

Rojo is hated by many on these forums, but I believe he will take another step forward in 2020. I’m thinking he has a massive chip on his shoulder, and is working hard to prove his doubters wrong, as that is a great motivating factor for many athletes. He’s a great hold or buy low right now, imo.

Rojo put up less than a yard per carry his opening preseason and then followed that up with a ypc of under 2 in the regular season. If that didn’t motivate him to become a good football player, why do you think a bunch of fantasy players writing him off would?

I’m not talking about fantasy players writing him off, I’m talking about various media outlets and people who are paid to give their opinions on players, whether it be in real football circles, or fantasy. He had a horrible first year, but the whole organization was in a tough time, which is why they fired the coach. Cultural changes in an organization can have profound effects with players, and it was evident on the further development he had from year 1 to 2. Playing in a crap organization can deflate individuals drive. Also, he was extremely young and immature, both physically and mentally, when he got in the league, as evident with the fact that he is younger than the new rookie they just drafted. That’s just my take on the situation, but I still see hope for the guy. Take it for what it is, an opinion.

I don't have much faith but agree with many assessments saying he's got enormous upside should he play himself into a role. I got him for an expected late 3rd in 21' draft so at that price I couldn't pass it up. I was kicking the tires on cheap upside guys and targeted him, Hines, Hurst, and Tyrell Williams as my "chesp but could be valuable" guys.

Yeah those 23 carries really sold me he can't play in the NFL

4.2ypc in 2019 when he actually got 172 carries and clearly the best option on TB, not that it means much.
I don't get writing off a 22yr old player with less than 200 carries. No idea where this deep analysis he can't play in the NFL comes from despite having basically 1 year to judge him off of when he was 1.2ypc better than his competition
I'll be holding for the trash offers you get for him and hoping he continues to improve

In fairness, there was another 28 carries in his historically bad preseason. I’m not writing him off. I wouldn’t advise dropping him or even selling him at this point. I just have no interest in buying him unless we’re talking late seconds, early thirds. The lack of usage when the guy is healthy says something about his ability to play in the NFL itself. The coach that drafted him is no longer there and the current coach reached on a lackluster running back and will probably use that lackluster running back. This situation reminds me of Donald Brown finally showing some promise and then getting sidelined for Vick Ballard.

Vaughn is the biggest draft bust since RoJo/D Henderson.

I think RoJo retains the lead role by default.

I don't think either back will be the lead back in 2021.

Keep RoJo, wait for him to take the starting job, sell.

This is actually really funny coming from you. I’d agree though. Also it wasn’t mentioned above idt, but Rojo had 10 YPR, and was lowkey ballin in the receiving game.
