I wouldnt be suprised to see them get cohen more involved at howards expense, especially after the trade rumors, coach talking up cohen, etc etc. I own more howard shares than cohen so im not like beating the table saying cohen is special and needs more touches. just thinking there might be more to him than i or others care to admit.

I was probably the biggest Tyreek proponent, but Cohen is different. Cohen is more Tavon than Tyreek.

Even if he produces well, he's still going to be a gadget player. There are different types of gadget players, but the one thing they have in common is that they usually get limited touches. Some just do more with those touches than others. He's just simply too small to have a full load, even if we think he's more talented than people bigger than him. He'll have some good games where he breaks off big plays, but will be too inconsistent to use as anything more than a flex.

This is exactly where I fall. I like the player, but his price has risen too high for my blood at this point. At the same height, Sproles almost has 10 lbs on him.

Cohen Hype is Real

Postby grandmabetty » Wed Jul 25, 2018 11:39 am

the hype around Cohen is building to a feverish pitch and I admit im caught up in it. I have Tyreek Hill and we all saw how he faired with Nagy and the talk is Nagy plans on using Cohen the same way. The person who has him in my dynasty league just sent out a message to all owners saying submit your best offers tonight and I will choose one. I usually try to avoid getting caught up in the hype of a player but Cohen showed just how dynamic he can be last year and with the right offensive mind he could be great. What do you think he is worth and are you buying into the hype? I was thinking of offering my 2nd rd pick and a prospect player.

So.... I just wouldn't. I think it's a bad bet.

I like, actually love, him as a player. If I were a bears fan, I'd be pumped. He's absolutely electric. But I wouldn't want him in my lineup each week. I wouldn't even really want him as a bench stash b/c he'll never get enough touches consistently to make it happen.

Good, maybe even situationally great NFL player. Bad fantasy asset.

People dump on McKinnon for being too small. At the combine, McKinnon had 25 pounds and a few inches on this guy. Pass.

But, again, I get it. Dude can move.

Cohen is not Tyreek Hill. It’s a pretty lazy comparison IMO. Yes Nagy made the comparison but he’s just saying Cohen is an untraditional weapon he intends to utilize. Tyreek is an everydown WR with elite speed. Cohen is an undersized RB with decent receiving abilty and okay speed. Cohen won’t produce like Hill because he won’t be afforded the opportunity. He plays a different position and doesn’t have the same ability.

People are doing the same thing with Burton, and treating him like Kelce 2.0 simply because Nagy was on the Chiefs staff. They’re not the same player and their talents aren’t close. It seems misguided to me to make these projections simply based on scheme.

I am really low on Hill and Cohen is nowhere near the player Hill is. Cohen is way overhyped, don't get caught up in it. He might have a couple decent weeks but nothing to get excited about

I would think that Gabriel would be more the guy to play the Hill role.

I feel my team is pretty stacked so I would project my 2nd rd pick to be at the backend of the rd. I also own another 2nd rd pick along with a projected high 1st rd & two 3rd rd picks in 2019 so I do have some draft capital to play with
