I understand benching him to see what you have in Finley, but on his birthday and without letting him know personally is a dick move.

Right... At least announce it another day or after the bye. Geez

Personally, I'm not giving up any decent draft capital for Dalton...a late 3rd at best...even in 2QB/SF leagues. I imagine in 2020 you're looking at some kind of Ryan Tannehill situation where MAYBE he gets PT and can show he has something left in the tank.

You kind of feel bad for him but meh, the Bengals have been mediocre since 2016. Dalton has been serviceable, yet, the Bengals might as well try to see if you can draft someone with "elite" QB potential.

With sh!t OL play, who knows how any HOF QB would do but I think a lot of people would agree, Dalton isn't a QB who elevates the people around him.

Yeah this is how I feel about Dalton too, it's eeerily reminiscent of how the Giants treated the Eli benching.

Was this a coach decision? Do we know?

It could be the nail in the coffin that makes Taylor one and done.

You can honestly just call the Bengals a friggen joke by not EVEN seriously considering the idea of trading Green, Dalton, ANYONE.

More likely than not, you keep Dalton in case Finley implodes but you should at least field offers for the guy.

Their management/decision making as a franchise makes no sense for a team that's 0-8 and hopefully 0-16.

Dalton, is there a good fit for him next year

Postby Wizard » Fri Nov 01, 2019 9:52 am

Dalton is only 32, and for a QB that's not "old" yet. I watched a lot of his games this year because he's one of my QBs in my SF and I know a lot of you think he sucks but what I saw was a QB being pounded due to a horrible OL. A QB constantly, and I mean constantly under pressure with a totally failing running game and his top WR not playing a snap. He did make a few really bad throws but for the most part he looked better than what I'm reading here on this site. My question is, where would he be a good fit for next year if he were traded? I'm not expecting him to be a world beater but I think he could be an above average QB in the right setting. I think the Broncos would be a good fit if they could get rid of Flacco (he looks bad). Do you see a team he would be a good fit for?
QB -Tom Brady, Nick Foles Deshaun Watson

RB - Kenyan Drake, Darrius Guise, Tevin Coleman, Leonard Fournett, Kareem Hunt, Justin Jackson, Jaylen Samuels, Carlos Hyde, Duke Johnson Jr., Jordan Wilkins, CJ Anderson, Chris Warren,

WR - Davante Adams , T.Y. Hilton, Courtland Sutton, Devin Funchess, Doug Baldwin, Michael Crabtree, Antonio Callaway, J’Mon Moore, Dylan Cantrell, Keith Kirkwood, James Richie

TE - Zach Ertz, Harris Demetrius, Hayden Hurst

We barely need 1 Andy Dalton thread, we certainly don't need 2.

If I was a Bears fan, I'd want them to trade for Dalton next year. Another option would be Cleveland, even though I'm 99.9% sure it won't happen...but I think Dalton can be an upgrade over Baker right now. At least for OBJ and in terms of fantasy. But there's no way Cleveland would do that.
