Teams and players will make sure they are following protocols after that if they aren't already.
Make the Titans pay it back as their "fine". Problem solved.
Perfect solution

No doubt. This is egregious. A clandestine practice while in lockdown for an outbreak, against NFL protocol. Deserved.

Yeah, I’ve been hearing that all morning. They have to punish them hard because other than the Titans, there’s only been 4-5 positive tests, around the rest of the NFL. They can’t let one team, that’s not following protocol, ruin the rest of the teams season.

I am in the camp that they should be forced to forfeit until the are clean. No excuse for putting the league in harms way by breaking protcol

I may be an outlier here ... but what purpose is it to punish the franchise? B/c that really punishes the fans ... punish the hell out of the coaches & management (suspensions & terminations), but why hurt the fans & players ... just my $0.02.

It also helps the teams that get free wins/extra rest and harms the rest of the teams in that division. Given all the injuries think of that alone and the impact of playing 15 games vs 16. Think of the advantage the Bills or Pitt would get against their division opponents. Wow. Or even the advantage the Bills would have against KC or that Pitt already has over Philly (especially Bills-KC given the short week). Substantial.

I don’t have the answers, and Tennessee definitely needs to have punishment for breaking the protocols and as a warning to other franchises, but forfeiture has big implications beyond just the Titans.

ETA Pitt Def was hurt by the early bye week as well so idk how to balance that either. But that seems less severe in the grand scheme than outright forfeitures.

To keep the season going. That's just my opinion, though. Better to have the Titans miss a few games, than everybody.

Can't wait to hear Clay Travis somehow justify the Titans actions.

I don't understand why Gruden doesn't go to the face shield. Saw Rhule use it, and instead of pulling the mask down to yell something out like Gruden does, he lifts the shield up. Nobody is complaining about that. Same exact thing.

Because it incentivises teams to ensure their players aren't breaking rules. Fans won't be hurt at all.

and the longer the season drags on, the more opportunities for outbreaks there will be. Titans breaking protocols, in such an egregious way, should not lengthen the season, or inconvenience other teams more, IMO. Had they been following, sure, but in light of the evidence, keep it going and let them forfeit, IMO.
