Well the way the NFL works is they will be playing before then.millworkguy wrote: ↑Tue Sep 29, 2020 4:22 pmA 1st titan, lb coach s bowan tested positive on Saturday, making 9 titans, with the 8 on Monday. All 8 of those titans tested negative on Saturday, but positive Monday
Vikings are shut down indefinitely, as the average transmission time is 5-7 days, with a longest time exceeding 14 days. The way covid builds (its viral load) means that someone could test negative 12 straight days (while isolating) and test positive on the 13th.

Re: fantasy impact of coronavirus
Like i wrote the typical time is 5-7 days, so I expect the Vikings to get tested a few more times before being allowed back to actually train

Have a couple days to decide, but IF one of these games gets moved to a different week, may need to start “safer” players this weekend including the Thursday night game

Incubation time, not transmission time. Super disappointed in some of the Raiders. Having a charity event that breaks league protocol and Nevada law. Unbelievably stupid.
Re: fantasy impact of coronavirus
Looks like the NFL has told teams moving forward suspensions and loss of draft picks if teams don't follow sideline mask rules. That should change some behaviors......
Re: fantasy impact of coronavirus
Damnit! why can't the NFL hire me?

Re: fantasy impact of coronavirus
Not much of a surprise given how Gruden has made a mockery of the mask rules, if he's not going to take COVID seriously then why would the rest of the franchise? They're just following their leaderships example.FantasyFreak wrote: ↑Wed Sep 30, 2020 8:37 amSuper disappointed in some of the Raiders. I don't really buy that. Gruden didn't really make a mockery of it, he just had it down a few times where he shouldn't, trying to communicate. Gruden adjusted this weekend, and changed his behaviour. This is a different situation, with people not wearing masks at all, around people who aren't tested daily. They are grown men, as a fan, I hold them accountable. Guys like Witten and Carr should know better.bjd5211 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 30, 2020 9:21 amNot much of a surprise given how Gruden has made a mockery of the mask rules, if he's not going to take COVID seriously then why would the rest of the franchise? Re: fantasy impact of coronavirus
Did he get fined this week? Seriously, they don't have them on at all times, nor are they required to. It might have been a few seconds where he's away from players (looks that way, to get a breath of air). Regardless, my point stands, they went to a charity event with people who weren't tested, in a room with over the lawful limit. They acted of their own accord. I blame them. Anyway, I don't care to discuss it further, as a fan of the team, I am disappointed in them, and the decisions they made.

Vikings have no positive tests, are going to return to the team facilities, so that game is looking good.

Re: fantasy impact of coronavirus
Does anyone else fear that the PIT/TEN situation could be the first of many dominoes to fall and that it could bring the whole thing down? Or do you think this is more of an isolated incident that will have minimal impact on the rest of the season?
Maybe I'm overreacting, but I've been skeptical from the beginning. It's not like the NBA where they're playing in a bubble.

Re: fantasy impact of coronavirus
No I'm not concerned. There will probably be other games moved, but the season will be completed. We just have to accept a new normal this year.
