Anything is possible. Hell, Kaepernick could go to the Saints and lead them to the SB. There's a non-zero chance of nearly anything.

Akers, coming off a historically career ending injury at his position, being given the lionshare of the work upon his immediate return seems very unlikely. Could it happen? Sure. But I'd bet against it.

In terms of dynasty, there is no scenario where Henderson's current success is helping Akers value.

Be happy if you sold for what looks like a 1st or better. If you didn’t, hold. That’s where we’re at:-)

You must not have seen his new special. There is a zero chance of Kaep being in the NFL again.

The fact that all of the RBs on the Rams are doing well and that McVay’s preference for a workhorse back outside of half a season last year is still existent should be seen as a positive for Akers ceiling (in terms of usage philosophy and situational boosts to production and efficiency) if he can return to being their featured back.

The chances that Akers eventually returns from that role is so far removed from Kaepernick leading a team to the Super Bowl that it’s not worth entertaining a reply to

There seems to be some belief that Akers can return in time for the playoffs.

Good luck with that. Coming from the same guy who said Gurley's knee was "fine".

I think this would be foolish. Let him heal. Henderson is doing just fine driving the car

Yeah, if I rostered Akers, I would not want him playing. Give him another 9 months. Have to think Akers agent might have a few things to say to him.

Akers tore his Achilles on 7/20.

The Super Bowl is 2/13.

Are we really supposed to believe that he's going to return from a torn Achilles in 6 months?

That's on the super aggressive side. That seems really unnecessary.

Aggressive? Definitely... but not without precedent.

Terrell Suggs returned after 5ish months and played an integral role en route to the Ravens 2012 Super Bowl.

Suggs was definitely on the anomaly side of things. Oddly enough went on to tear his Achilles in his other foot two years later

Just seems really unnecessary when you can just take the offseason to continue resting up.

They let that stuff permeate the media to motivate the player in their rehab. He isn’t returning and if he does it’s simply a business mistake and he will look like garbanzo beans just like Marlon.
