Jeudy is injured and looked very good in the game before that. Sutton is probably not getting 12 targets if both are healthy.StripesOfKC wrote: ↑Fri Sep 24, 2021 10:18 am Still better than Jeudy as he has always been
Wish I still owned a share or two
Congrats to those who got him at the ridiculous prices he was going this offseason (for an early 2nd like some scrub)

It’s too bad they are both on the same team, as they could likely each be a WR1 different other teams (Detroit, Las Vegas, Indy for example) and will cannibalize each other a bit. Either way, both look like solid players, and as long as they aren’t stuck with Lock they should do pretty well.

These things have a way of working themselves out. Wouldn't be surprised if Sutton is playing elsewhere at this time next year as his contract is up.Shcritters wrote: ↑Fri Sep 24, 2021 10:53 am It’s too bad they are both on the same team, as they could likely each be a WR1 different other teams (Detroit, Las Vegas, Indy for example) and will cannibalize each other a bit. Not all that counts can be counted. Not all that can be counted counts.

DEN has stated that getting him a contract extension is a priority, so while there's a chance.. I'm skeptical of him entering FA.Pac_Eddy wrote: ↑Fri Sep 24, 2021 12:15 pmThese things have a way of working themselves out. Jeudy lower's Sutton's floor on any given week because Bridgewater isn't going to force it to any WR. If a situation like week 1 occurs again (where defense is shading safety help towards him and an elite cover corner is shadowing him) then he's going to go to his other options (specifically Jeudy/Fant who were both target leaders that week)... however, Sutton is just a better WR than Jeudy right now and is one of the best WRs in the NFL; All things being equal this will probably be similar to the Demaryius Thomas/Manny Sanders dynamic from a few years back.

Idk about his situation or future situation, but when I watch Courtland Sutton play it feels like I'm watching one of the best players in the league. Firing him up week 3
Re: The Courtland Sutton Thread
He's an easy start this week vs. the Jets, a bit hobbled or not. I'm looking for him to score this time.MFundercover wrote: ↑Sat Sep 25, 2021 3:52 am Idk about his situation or future situation, but when I watch Courtland Sutton play it feels like I'm watching one of the best players in the league. Before the ACL, we were talking about him making a push to be a Top 10 dynasty WR in some circles. The talent is there... it's great to see him getting back to himself; I'm excited for him.

Re: The Courtland Sutton Thread
Hamler goes down which opens up 5-7 targets a game. Maybe they go to Albert O as well as Patrick as Fant.
Re: The Courtland Sutton Thread
He is having an up and down season fantasy wise, no doubt in my eyes the talent is all there, he has looked great in two games especially coming off an ACL tear last season. Can we count on him for more consistency? If he does stay in Denver I actually think Jeudy will help open Sutton up more for some monster plays. Obviously QB is an issue but that can change as early as next year. I am also not of the opinion that 26 is anywhere near old for a WR. The time to buy was before last week.

In a startup over the summer I was debating him vs Claypool, can't go wrong with either but I'm happy.

Re: The Courtland Sutton Thread
Just waiting for him to get the Mike Williams treatment. Right now he has the 2nd highest adot in the league or something ridiculous like that (edit: I think it's the 2nd most air yards) which leads to high variance. I've seen multiple deep shots where he doesn't get the reception but gets a defensive PI which helps his team just the same, but it doesn't help us.
Re: The Courtland Sutton Thread
He better pray for Rodgers to come to town then. Their QB situation is one of the worst.Dynasty DeLorean wrote: ↑Wed Oct 13, 2021 5:58 pm Just waiting for him to get the Mike Williams treatment. IMO if they dont bring someone in, I dont wanna invest in any of them at a non significant discount.YouMightDieTryin wrote: ↑Mon Nov 22, 2021 9:44 am Broncos signed Courtland Sutton to a four-year contract extension worth up to $60.8 million.

Re: The Courtland Sutton Thread
This is partially my worry too. As well as Jeudy needs his targets. Patrick isn't going anywhere and takes 5-8 targets a game. Hamler will be back next year. There's not enough ball to go around to give Sutton a true alpha price. But at the same time the FOMO is real!Mjvb5 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 22, 2021 9:51 amIMO if they dont bring someone in, I dont wanna invest in any of them at a non significant discount.YouMightDieTryin wrote: ↑Mon Nov 22, 2021 9:44 am Broncos signed Courtland Sutton to a four-year contract extension worth up to $60.8 million.
